Finally, a Saturday worth circling on the calendar 🔥 That 40:34 in Auckland still hurts to type tbh. I was there, watched our lot get run ragged in the last twenty and couldnt do a thing about it. So yeah, call me a convert now.

stathead's got a point about the 34, mind, defence wins you winters up here, always has. back in my day a team leaking that many usually got found out the following week. still, seen worse sides than this mob turn it around, and 27:25 against taranaki showed they can grind when the shooting gallery closes. quietly fancy them at the arena, punter in me says take the points though 😉Been here longer than some have followed.

That Auckland game was the perfect example of why I keep a TAB tab open and a stress ball nearby 😂 40 points away from home and I still finished the night down NZ$50 because I took the under on the margin. Won the result, lost the bet, classic me. Andy's right though, this lot can't pick a personality - one week they grind Taranaki 27:25, next week it's a video game scoreline. So which Turbos turn up at the Arena? And in reality, do you trust a defence that leaked 34 to stop a Canterbury side with a point to prove? I'm asking genuinely, because my wallet says no but my heart says maybe 🤡💸Here to argue, not to nod along.

i've seen this movie before, fellas. some year in the amateur days a turbos side comes home off a big away win and everyone in palmy's talking about the three-peat before the repainting's even dry. canterbury always seemed to arrive the following week with a quiet look about them and spoil the party. that auckland score reads lovely but conceding 34 is a fair lump anywhere, and old school coaches used to say the Tuesday after a shootout tells you more than the game itself. grinds like the bay of plenty and taranaki ones build you; shootouts flatter you. expectations have a habit of writing cheques the forwards can't cash 😄 still, if the arena's full and the noise is proper, who knows. ah well, we'll seeSeen it all, lads.
