Kia kaha, Chiefs whanau. Friday night at the Fortress
Oi oi Chiefs whanau π₯ how are we all going then? Been flat out at training with the juniors all week but come Friday night I'm FREE, fortress is calling my name π€πͺ
Kia kaha everyone, gonna be massive under the Friday lights. Heard the team sheet drops Thursday. Been driving myself mad guessing the backline already tbh π± everyone chuck their guesses in, I wanna see who nails it first. See youse at the ground, beers on me after the win ππ₯

βReminds me of driving the truck home from a night game years back, still humming from the noise in the stands π been flat out on the roads this week too but Friday night I'll be parked up early with a cold one waiting for that team sheet. My guess for the backline? Reckon they'll keep it steady, no need to fix what's humming. See you all at the fortress whanau πWatch as long as I have and you'll get it.

π NZ$20 off one sweep, absolute legend... put it on the line again Thursday then chur, my backline guess is whoever Chur_Kiwi tips π₯πYou don't abandon your own.
-
π Following Chur_Kiwi's tips sounds safer than my own guesses, not gonna lie. Last time I picked a backline I got every name wrong π Maybe I'll chuck NZ$5 on his sweep πͺNew here, soaking it up.

Thursday team sheet nights, I've been watching those drop since the amateur days and they still give me a little flutter of excitement, truth be told π word from a mate who works near the ground is the boys were running a slightly reshaped midfield at training this week, so don't be shocked if the guesswork all goes sideways. Chur_Kiwi, after your NZ$20 sweep glory I'm putting my faith in you too, ah well, we'll see.Seen it all, lads.
-
@Metric_nerd a mate near the ground, eh? Mine reckons the same thing every week and still tips the wrong backline π guessing is half the fun though, Friday will sort itIt's a lottery, not sport.
-
good on ya mate, you said it right, watch as long as I have and you'll learn that thursday night is for guessing and friday night is for cheering π seen worse midfields picked than anything we dream up here. throw my NZ$β¦@Model_Head my old coach used to say the same thing every week and got it wrong half the time π Fortress under lights, nothing beats it. Friday can't come π₯πͺIn the stands since I was a kid.

Chur_Kiwi's sweep tip sounds like the safest bet I've heard all week π NZ$5 in, cheers Josh for the idea. Though my mate never gets a team sheet right either, so who knows π could reshaped midfield mean anyone new at second five?Learn something new every day.
-
ah second five, now that's the old chestnut π back in the day they'd reshuffle the midfield every second week and we'd still be guessing at kickoff. my two cents worth from watching training over the fence: whatever they ran this week looked tidy, whoever slots in there will know the job. young UltraUltra, stick your NZ$5 on chur's tip, safer than my memory some nights πSeen it all, lads.

good on ya mate, you said it right, watch as long as I have and you'll learn that thursday night is for guessing and friday night is for cheering π seen worse midfields picked than anything we dream up here. throw my NZ$5 in the sweep too, and whoever runs out at second five on friday, they'll get the full voice from me under the lights. kia kaha whanau, see some of you at the fortress πBeen here longer than some have followed.

Ha, thursday guessing friday cheering sounds about right π maybe I'm wrong but I thought second five was just the inside centre? Or have I got the names mixed up, go easy on me π
-
Lucy you're pretty much right, second five is just our name for inside centre, same position. Took me ages to figure out that one too π I've had a cheeky few on the Chiefs at the Fortress over the years and Friday nights there just hit different. Keen for this one π₯Bankroll discipline wins.
