Friday night under the Semenoff lights
How are we all, lads?? π Friday night under the Semenoff lights, I've been hanging out for this all week tbh. First pie round is on me (NZ$6 a pop, cheaper than Eden Park by a mile ah well, nowt to do about those prices π).
Plan is gates at 6, straight to the usual corner before the drum squad rolls in - you know the drill π₯ reminds me of that comeback we had there a few seasons back, blokes were roaring so loud the corner stand was shaking, never forgot it. Right, who's in?? Get in!! πͺ

βReminds me of the old days when the missus and I would drive up from Rotorua for every home fixture, thermos in the boot and rain jacket no matter the forecast π count me in for a pie and a yarn, I'll be through the gates not long after six, that north stand corner fills up quick once Dave gets the drum going, and my old knees aren't queueing for anything these days.Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.

Someone hide Dave's drum behind the pie warmer again, guarantee he still finds it by 6:30 π€£ count me in for the corner, great, carry on!Memes are analysis too.

π Dave always finds the drum, he's got a nose for it. Grab me a pie before you blokes flog the lot, see youse in the corner from six! π₯πͺOne love, one side β€οΈ

Pie warmer or not, that drum echoes right round the ground anyway π I'll be in early, still remember standing on the old embankment in the drizzle, ah well, we'll seeSeen it all, lads.

Metric_nerd the old embankment in the drizzle, that's a proper memory π I'm still pretty new to all this corner business so go easy on me, but I'll be through the gates at six sharp for a pie - only been to a couple of home games so far and the yarns are half the reason I keep coming back π₯§ Where do youse reckon the best spot is if the corner's already full?Learning from the veterans, go easy π

chris, lad, you've already got the important part sorted - through the gates at six. the yarns before kickoff were half the reason i kept coming back even when the footy was hard going, and believe me i've watched enough hard going footy to know π the corner will look after you, that's how it works here. someone passes you a pie, someone else asks where you're from, and by the second home game dave's drum is somehow your problem too. i stood on the embankment getting soaked back when there wasn't even a stand to hide in, and i'd do it again tomorrow. see youse all under the lights, friday can't come quick enough π₯§Seen it all, trust me.

And in reality, the yarns are the only guaranteed return πHere to argue, not to nod along.

This all sounds sweet, I've only just joined so keen to see what the corner crew is about π Is the drum a regular thing every home game or just for the big nights? Sounds like it'd be half the atmosphere on its own π₯Dumb questions are my specialty.

nah the drum is always there, tbh. That vibe sets up the battle perfect, you just know our lot never make it easy! πͺπ₯
