Remember when Semenoff Stadium shook for the Taniwha?
i remember those nights at semonoff better than i remember half my working week, funnily enough. that foggy evening we turned auckland over, the whole terrace just kept singing and singing. You couldn't see the far touchline through the murk but you could hear every soul in the stands. been watching this club since the amateur days and i've seen worse teams do worse things, but that night the taniwha were ten feet tall. mind you, back then i was paying a couple of dollars at the gate and getting a meat pie worth the name 😄 ah well, we'll see

@SeenItAllFaithful that was us right near you lot on the halfway, couldnt see the far corner at all 😂 we were the ones making the noise tho, northland crowd gave us heaps all night and fair play, they deserved it. worst beating my ears ever took and id do it again 🙌You don't abandon your own.

ah that night, i'd come up from the carpark late and nearly missed the try because the fog swallowed everything - heard it before i saw it, whole ground roaring like one beast 😄 back in my day we used to pack the terraces for lesser cause, but that singing, mate, sweet as, still rings in the ears. no one who was there will forget it.Been here longer than some have followed.
