Are we just a gritty defence team?
Bloody hell, seriously, are you mates thinking a solid defensive record is a win on its own? We all know the grit is there, right, but are we really content with just being the team that stops the bleeding? It’s like watching a defence that’s brilliant at clearing their runs but they don't actually have anyone capable of scoring properly when the chance comes.
I mean, they’ve got physicality everywhere, sure thing, mate, but you need someone with the vision up front to actually unlock those solid backlines. If they want big wins, the bookies aren't interested in a draw based on a strong tackle either. What creative centre are we waiting for to show these lot how the legends used to operate?

It’s like wat…We definitely have that defensive backbone, but I think the idea that we are strictly a defensive side is actually holding us back from what the team is capable of. If we could just get the forwards to create better attacking platforms, wouldn't the score start reflecting the effort we’re putting in week after week?

Bloody oath the grit is there, but where's the tries?! 😤 Get a ball-playing centre in and watch this backline fly. We deserve more than grinding wins 🔥💪Heart with the team, head on pause.

Matchday_4Life has it right, mate. A ball-playing centre unlocks more tries than another pod of boppers ever will. Physicality wins collisions, creativity wins games.Do the math before you argue.

I sat in the stands through the whole amateur era and I'll tell you, the great Northland sides never chose between muscle and guile, they had both. Physicality gets you over the advantage line, sure, but someone still has to put the bloke through the gap. A creative centre wouldn't hurt the grit one bit 😉

Funny thing, I've watched test footy since the amateur days too and I remember plenty of Northland sides with all the guile in the world getting bossed up front till it didn't matter. Fine centres are lovely when the pack's going forward, but we haven't earned that right yet, so another ball-player is a luxury we can't carry. Sort the collisions first, sweet as, the tries will come.Been here longer than some have followed.

Paul_Fan's got it right, I reckon. Front foot first, then a centre with hands. Could be wrong, but I'd take both and let selection sort it out 📊Do the math before you argue.
