Enough talk, Moana fans, who is the powerhouse centre we need to lock
Seriously feeling that gap in the middle of the park after last weekend. Word is the scouts have been keeping an eye on some big centres who could bring that real defensive muscle we've been missing. It’d be massive if we could bring in someone who can carry the ball effectively while still linking up well with the backline.

✓"Word is the scouts have been keeping an eye". Source on that? Because "word is" usually means someone's mate made it up after a few beers. I'll believe we're signing a ball-carrying centre when I see the club announce it, not before.

Man I'd love a big ball-carrying 12/13 who just bends the line every touch, imagine him punching through then our backs getting clean quick ball 🔥💪 we've been crying out for that defensive thump all season tbh. GloryDays fair enough wanting proof but I say dream big bro, heart says it all 🙌In the stands since I was a kid.

The scouts being mentioned need to be looking beyond just physicality; raw power doesn't always guarantee the link play we desperately require. A centres profile needs a specific combination of high-end carrying metres paired with a willingness to drift and recycle possession for the outside backs. Most of the big names available in that price bracket are likely too aged or already locked into contracts, making a high-impact signing tough even if the desire is there.Numbers > vibes.

BadBeatKing's got the right idea about the link play, I'll give him that. But I've seen a few "scouts are watching" rumours over the years that came to sweet nothing, big name whispered in March, gone quiet by June. Hope I'm wrong this time. Time will tell, ah well, we'll see 😉Remember when the grass was greener 🌱
