Landed nicely for me the last couple of weeks, I'll say that. Took the Crusaders -6 in one of those four wins and it sailed, and the TAB line's been creeping since, you can see the money following the form. Four straight, 488 points banked and only 41 off top spot after 14 rounds, that LWWWW run is exactly the kind of streak that moves markets. Value-wise I'm looking at the margin bands rather than the head-to-head now, everyone's on the bandwagon so the outright price is cooked. My play is a slice of the bankroll on them covering plus an outside try-scorer in the multi, same as every weekend, nothing clever. The trick with a streak like this is getting on before the line moves another point or two, because it will. 🔥Value over a big price 💸

Count me in, though fair warning I've spent more playoff ticket money on 2am impuls buys than I'd like to admit 🤣 Lucy making the TAB money talk louder than me at a finals hosto. LWWWW reading like a headline, carry on chaps 🔥Came to laugh, stayed for life 🍿

All quiet in the pit at various watering holes round Christchurch lately, everyone's climbing back aboard after that LWWWW run 🤡 rember when half of yous had us written off? 😏Any stat can be bent.

Andy's got a point there, though I'd soften the 🤡 a bit, half the taverns in Christchurch went quiet after that stumble, happens every year to every side, no use pretending otherwise. Back in my day we judged a team round about round ten, not after one bad afternoon. Mind you, I had my doubts too after the loss, and my old man always said the table never lies come the business end. Eight wins off six defeats with 488 put on the board reads like a side finding its rhythm, and LWWWW is the sort of run that carries you into the playoffs with a bit of swagger. Still, 41 points off the top is a fair climb. One slip and that gap widens again. Counting myself in, cautiously, the way you learn to after enough seasons watching April form go pear-shaped in June 😉Remember when the grass was greener 🌱

Andy reckons the taverns went quiet, funny that. Every punter I know round here was screaming "season over" at 41 points off the pace and now suddenly they're all geniuses again 😂 Lucy, that TAB line creeping is doing more talking than half this thread. Just asking: where were all you faithful lads six weeks ago? 😏

Andy and Fix have it about right, fair-weather folk everywhere you go. Remember the dark old days when half of Lancaster Park emptied out by the hour mark if things went sideways? The young lot never saw that. I'll back this run as far as it goes, but eight wins in fourteen tells me hold the tickets till round twelve, eh 😉Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.

Fair point from SeenItAll about the empty seats, I lived those afternoons at Lancaster Park myself 😄 though I'd add this much: four straight wins and third on the table with a game in hand is a decent spot to be arguing from, whoever jumped back aboard. Seen worse starts than this mind you, and seen better ones fizzle out come the business end. Back in my day you learnt round ten who you were, and I'd say the same now, that run into the playoffs sorts the pretenders from the real thing quick enough. Form's a fickle mate, 41 points off the pace can vanish in three weekends or haunt you all the way home. So aye, count me cautiously in - ask me again after the next couple away trips and you'll get a straighter answer 😉Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.
