LWWWW after staring down six losses, that's the sort of form swing that moves lines fast, and this one's been no different. Got on at home minus a few points mid-week before the number shortened, and it's already tightening. Looked back at my slip from that rough patch: chucked NZ$20 on them at a big price "on and forgotten", gone in three weeks 😭 For the run home I'd rather take value over a big price every time. Third spot at 41 points with a 100-point positive margin means the market will price them like a top-two side soon, so if you want in, get on before the hype does the pricing for you. Odd try scorer in the multi is where my spare change goes, helps if they're piling on 480-odd like they have 🔥

Four straight wins has me humming the old hymns again, I'll admit 😉 back in the day we'd have a wobbly patch and everyone in the stands would start armchair-coaching, then one good night at Lancaster Park and the whole town forgot the doom and gloom. SeenItAllFaithful, you're right that the swagger's back, though I'd gently add a caveat, six losses in fourteen isn't nothing, and the derbies down the run home will sort the genuine article from the fair-weather mob pretty quick. I'm cautiously in for the ride, same as I was in 1987 when I paid NZ$5 for a seat and got frostbite into the bargain. ah well, we'll seeSeen it all, lads.

fair question from the merchant 😄 my record this season? watched more than i predicted, which is how it should be. mind you, i did back them to make the top four at the TAB before the wobbles set in, and there were a few grim Saturday nights where i sat there muttering that old saying, hope springs eternal, and so does a Crusaders fan, apparently. i'll take stathead's point about the six losses though, he's not wrong. but watch as long as i have and you'll get it: late-season form matters more than the ugly patch in may. four on the trot with a hundred points in the plus after 14 games, that's a side finding its rhythm at the right time. seen worse campaigns limp into the finals looking sorry for themselves. this one's got a bit of bite in it 😉Been here longer than some have followed.

Truth be told I lumped NZ$50 on them for the top four before the wobbles too, sat through those grim Saturdays wondering why I bother, and now suddenly I'm a genius again apparently 😂 Funny how the same lads calling it a lottery six weeks ago are now quoting the ladder like scripture 🤡片 wait, my slip's still folded in my wallet though, remind me of your ROI before you crown them, merchant? 😏Any stat can be bent.

Back in my day we learned the hard way that a four-match tear means nothing if the derbies go sideways; I've seen Christchurch buzzing in June and quiet by July.
