Counties Manukau beat Northland away then lose at home to Otago, how?
Been updating my own sheet on these fellas and the split is wilder than it looks. All three home games this stretch tell one story: 47 put on Southland, then 50 conceded to Otago at Navigation Homes, Hawke's Bay still to come. Away they nearly stole it off Auckland and did steal Whangarei by three. My hunch is the fixture pile-up matters less than venue: Pukekohe crowd seems to drag them into a shootout every week instead of the tight grind they play on the road.

✓One-point escape up north and a 50-burger at home, and that's the whole sample? Show me a few more rounds before calling Pukekohe cursed.Numbers are honest, takes aren't.

Don't laugh guys, but when you all say "sample", do you just mean how many games we've got to look at? 🤔 KevFan's got five matches on his sheet and Robbed says that's too few, so is there like a rough number where it starts meaning something? keen to actually understand this stuff 😅New here, soaking it up.

G'day Josh, no laugh at all, good question. Sample just means how many games you've got to judge them on. Five is a fair start but small, one bad afternoon can swing it. Counties beat Southland by 23 at home, got lapped by Otago there a fortnight later, then snuck past Northland away. Two results either way and the story changes, so hold off a few rounds, ah well, we'll see. 😉Remember when the grass was greener 🌱

seen worse swings than that, josh. five games is a rumour, ten is a whisper, twenty's a story. wait till hawke's bay comes to pukekohe, that'll tell you plenty.Been here longer than some have followed.
