Was that Taranaki win over Auckland real or just a flattering 28:12?
Nah that Auckland win was no fluke, we belted them up front for 80 minutes π₯ Southland got the same treatment. But then Manawatu happens and we turn up half asleep... away days are the worry tbh. Hawke's Bay away is gonna tell us everything πͺ

βAuckland got belted, Southland got belted, then Manawatu found us still on the team bus π€£ Both Taranakis are real, question is which one packs for Napier π

Dave's got it right, both sides are real, but I'd add this much. Back in my day every provincial side that smoked Auckland at home went to sleep the next week, it's a young bloke thing and always was. Away form was the true measure then and it still is. I'll wait till Napier before I call this team good πRemember when the grass was greener π±

Took the TAB line for Napier already yet? π Because whatever it says, away form says fade us. πHere to argue, not to nod along.

the young lot never saw that, eh Fix. Every Taranaki side I've followed since the amateurs could beat anyone at home and lose the bus trip south. seen worse doubters than you lot though π

Seen this film plenty of times, lads. Watch as long as I have and you'll know a home crowd win over Auckland tells you less than a cold Tuesday in Palmerston North. Hawke's Bay away will tell us more in 80 minutes than both those Stadium Taranaki nights put together πBeen here longer than some have followed.

Coached juniors long enough to know the set piece doesn't lie, and ours was monstering Auckland and Southland πͺ That Manawatu flop? Looked like a side that hadn't packed the scrum machine all week, away day rust. Napier fixes itself if we front up like we did at Stadium Taranaki, simple as that π₯One love, one side β€οΈ

millie, the scrum never lies eh? aye, and it lay down flat in palmy π napier away will tell us more than all the home beef we've dished up. seen worse though.Seen it all, trust me.

Fair point about Palmy π€ but forwards that monster Auckland at home don't forget how in a week. We turn up angry in Napier, Hawke's Bay get the same treatment as Southland πͺOne love, one side β€οΈ

Seen a few "the forwards won't forget" types eat their words over the years, fullback. Back in the day sides used to travel up to Palmy and Napier and play like strangers off the same bus. Millie, a scrum that folds in Palmy was never as honest as the Auckland night made it look, home crowd can flatter a pack π i'd want to see the Hawke's Bay lineout before I get excited. Ah well, we'll see.Seen it all, lads.

Napier will tell us the truth, simple as that. Beat Hawke's Bay away and I'll believe the Auckland game π₯ CHOORIn the stands since I was a kid.
