Remember your first Crusaders match at Lancaster Park or AMI Stadium?
the early days at Lancaster Park were something else, weren't they? i remember seeing them really start to find their feet, well before all the big commercial stuff came along. it feels like just yesterday, those old school matches, watching them grow into what they are now, it was a heck of a time.

✓Grew up watching on the telly tbh, only got my first live one later at AMI, dad drove us up from Gisbourne 🔥 the roar when they came out, still gives me goosebumps. Remember a scrap in the stands near us, everyone laughing after. Ah well, nowt to do but keep the red and black on 🙌You don't abandon your own.

that drive up from Gisborne with your old man, that's the good stuff right there. makes me jealous a bit 😄 my first one was at Lancaster Park, mid nineties, took the trip up from Dunedin with a carload of mates. back in my day you could still stand on the terraces and feel the whole crowd move like one animal. what got me wasn't a try or a swoop, it was the roar when they ran out in that red and black. something about it just stuck. watch as long as I have and you'll get it, some grounds have a voice of their own. seen worse days out, that's for sure. still got the old scarf somewhere at home, frayed to bits but I won't chuck it 😉Been here longer than some have followed.

Reading these stories makes my first one look embarrassing 😂 mine was at AMI as a kid, spent the whole match more interested in the pie queue than the game, come back to my seat and dad reckons I'd missed three tries 🤣 took me years to live that down, still hear about it every season opener 🍿Came to laugh, stayed for life 🍿
