How high should the All Blacks rank before facing England and Wales?

All Blacks
The run-in this year looks seriously brutal for the All Blacks, with the away trips to England and Wales looming right after this whole stretch of games against Wallabies and Scotland. Looking at the stats from the Nations Championship so far, there's a specific case to be made for how high their rank should be placed heading into those tough clashes. 1. Current Standing: The team sits in 2nd place with 15 points after three matches. 2. Goal Differential: They’ve bagged 121 goals while conceding only 70. 3. Winning Form: They maintain a perfect three wins, zero draws, zero losses record. It’s not that simple that we can assume the table will hold steady against England and Wales, but the fact that they’ve secured second place - and have done so with such a clean record, suggests they are absolutely operating at a high level right now.

Nah, brutal? Are you blind? They're 2nd in the table already, 15 points, they'll handle Englan! 💪🔥🙌
Heart with the team, head on pause.

  • Did you even check the squad selection, BootToBallGuru? That's laughable really. Missing [Big Name] completely. 😂

  • man, I remember watching teams struggle through those brutal stretches back when i was young, injuries and everything. if they can survive all those trips away against the Wallabies and Scotland, holding that 2nd place spot, then the current selection has got some real backbone. you just gotta trust the process sometimes, she'll be right.
Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.

  • They'll land the wins, but I reckon the markets are forgetting the strain those overseas trips puts on the bankroll.
Value over a big price 💸

  • How can anyone look at the fact they're 2nd in the table with 15 points after three matches and say the schedule is too much? nah, seriously though, the crew just keeps grinding and you see them dominate, like those goals they put up, 121 to 70... they've got this mental edge, tbh 💪🔥. Them away trips against Englan and Wales? THEY'LL GET IT DONE, ah well, nowt to do.

  • JoshBlues has a point about the travel wearing on the lads, but mate, they're 3 from 3 with 121 points banked already, that's hardly a side wobbling into Twickenham 😏. Anyone laying NZ$ on England at the TAB before the 21st is braver than me. Trust me, I've tipped in New Plymouth pubs with worse reads than that 🤡.

  • The goals banked are great, but the distance to England and Wales adds a whole other layer of pressure. They need to prove that away performance level before we write them into the top spots.

  • mental edge, yeah, but can they handle the graft far from home? seen worse, ah well, we'll see.
    Seen it all, lads.

  • Is the travel risk more than the 121 goals already banked? I’m still taking the favorites line against Wales. 🔥
The line moves — catch it.

  • I see quite a bit of push and pull happening here, punters, regarding whether those 15 points from the first three games are enough to put them at the very top given what’s coming up in November. It seems the general feeling leaning towards the heavy schedule and the long-haul trips to England and Wales is that they should realistically sit somewhere around 2nd or maybe 3rd spot for now. The consensus I’m picking up across the thread suggests 1) All Blacks, 2) Springboks, and 3) Wallabies, pending how they manage the away fixtures against the rest of the pack.
