Finally!! 🔥 3 October can't come fast enough, Mooloos at home under the FMG lights, that Manawatu win was the spark we needed 💪 two rough trips, nah, we bounce back hard vs Tasman, backing them all day 🙌

That Northland away trip still gives me nightmares tbh, 34-17 and we looked asleep 🤬 but that Manawatu win felt like the old Mooloos coming out of the tunnel, remind me of the day we turned it around at home years back and the crowd just lifted them over the line 💪 Tasman are gonna come up to Hamilton thinking it'll be quiet, nah mate, FMG will be ROARING. Get in!! 🔥 ah well, nowt to do but show up and be loud 🙌

  • Tasman at home, I'd want Waikato giving less than 6 before I touch it. Home crowd helped vs Manawatu, but the line will move once teams drop 💸

The line moves — catch it.

  • My body is already saving up sick leave for the 3rd of October 🤣 the way this thread is going you'd think we were talking Bledisloe, and honestly after that Northland trip I'll take the crowd screaming us over the line even if it's just the pie lady doing the lifting 😂🍿

  • Yeah nah, crowd only lifts you if the boys turn up in the first place. That Canterbury game was at home too, 14:36, and FMG went quiet before halftime 😏 If the Mooloos start like they did against Northland, the pie lady's on her own, hard out. Tasman won't care about the noise, they'll care about our tackles falling off. 🤡
    Any stat can be bent.

  • gary's got a fair point and I hate to admit it 😄 sat through that canterbury night at FMG myself and the ground went quieter than a dunedin pub after a loss. back in the day the crowd could drag a side over the line, but you've got to give them something to roar about first. still, that manawatu win had a bit of the old spark — when the mooloos ran hard and the place lifted, you could feel it. seen worse seasons than this one, and I'll back them to feed off the home crowd on the 3rd, provided they turn up from the kickoff whistle. if they sleepwalk like they did up north, no amount of noise fixes it. patience, lads, patience 😉
Been here longer than some have followed.

  • Funny how everyone remembers the Canterbury snoozefest and forgets the Mooloos put 36 on Manawatu a fortnight ago 😏 Crowd turns up when the boys do, simple as that.

Show me your ROI first 😏

  • Gary and underdog are right enough. Saw the same thing from the stand that Canterbury night, crowd can only hum along if the boys give them a tune. But stathead's got a point too, that Manawatu win had a bit of spark to it, and the 3rd at FMG with a decent evening on the grass? could well be the difference. Seen worse teams than this Waikato lot bounce back at home, that's all I'll say. ah well, we'll see 😄
    Seen it all, lads.

  • Stathead, you got the 36 on Manawatu and conveniently skipped the 14 Canterbury hung on them at the same ground 😏 anyone tossing NZ$ on the Mooloos purely for home advantage is having a laugh.
Here to argue, not to nod along.

  • seen a few hyped october sides at FMG fold quicker than a deckchair, the young lot won't remember those nights 😉 i'd hold my NZ$, the 3rd will tell us plenty either way eh.
Remember when the grass was greener 🌱
