Can McLean Park roar the Magpies back to life against Taranaki?
Finally the 27th is nearly here π₯ been watching the calendar like a hawk since those two losses stung... Harbour and Bay of Plenty were rough but that Otago win showed what the Magpies can do when McLean Park gets going πͺ get in behind Napier, let's roar them back to life π

βTaranaki fans already talking? π last time they came to McLean Park they went home quiet π₯ Magpies by plenty, gonna be loud in Napier πͺπOne love, one side β€οΈ

That Otago win paid for my carton, loaded up on the -7 that night and it landed comfortably πΈ Two losses since and I'm wary of the line for the 27th. If TAB hangs Magpies under 6 I'd look hard at it, home crowd at McLean Park counts for plenty, but their defence leaked 31 and 32 the last fortnight, so maybe first try scorer is where the value hides πΊValue over a big price πΈ

Andy turned a carton of beers into a betting career off one Otago game π by the 27th he'll be charging us NZ$ for McLean Park noise tips.π€£Only serious one here β barely.

Andy one game vs two straight losses π trusting a TAB line off the Otago night feels brave. Don't laugh, but I still reckon the roar fixes them πLearn something new every day.

Coached juniors long enough to know one thing: home crowds fix tired legs π€ 35:24 vs Otago wasn't luck, that was McLean Park carrying them π₯ Magpies by 10 π

LeeLegend mate, Harbour pinch that one cause we switched off for 20 mins, nothing to do with the crowd π€¬ Remember the Shield game I watched at McLean Park years back, when that place roars the lads grow an extra lung. Taranaki gonna get an earful on the 27th, backing them all the way ah well, nowt to do π₯You don't abandon your own.

LeeLegend mate, Harbour pinch that one cause we switched off for 20 mins, nothing to do with the crowd π€¬ Remember the Shield game I watched at McLean Park years back, when that place roars the lads grow an extra lung. Taβ¦@SeenItAllFaithful nah mate I reckon the crowd matters more than you're giving credit, but GloryDays has it right, 31 and 32 in back to back weeks is the actual scary bit π€¬ I coach the juniors up here and even at that level you can see lads feed off noise when they're gassed. That extra lung thing is real. Problem is you can't hear a roar when you're chasing shadows for 20 mins straight... fix the structure first, then let McLean Park do the rest π₯ Taranaki at the Park is never easy either way, our lot never make it easy on themselves πͺOne love, one side β€οΈ

But if 20 mins of switching off fixes itself with a crowd, why'd it happen at home vs Harbour? π Genuinely asking, don't laugh πNew here, soaking it up.

Josh mate, players switching off happens everywhere, home or away, crowd can only drag you back into it if the lads actually listen π nah the real worry for me is conceding 31 and 32 in consecutive weeksβ¦ fix the defence and the McLean Park roar looks after the rest π₯πHeart with the team, head on pause.

Back in my day form went out the window when Magpies and Taranaki met, and I'd expect no less. Whoever fancies a verdict on the 27th, best wait till the final whistle πWatch as long as I have and you'll get it.

Crowd can cover a soft ten minute stretch, can't cover 30+ points leaking two weeks running. I left the Magpies out of my multi last weekend for exactly that reason, didn't trust the defence to land the line. If they tighten up around the tackle zone I'll happily put my NZ$ back on them at McLean Park, until then the noise is just noise.Value over a big price πΈ

Matchday_88, same boat here. Left them out of my multi too, would've landed if the defence turned up. Now just weighing whether the line drifts enough to make them value anyway π€The line moves β catch it.
