Brumbies lounge: who's braving the cold for Friday night footy, mates?
Evening lads, how we all doing then? π₯ Frost is already settling in here and Friday night at GIO is gonna be bloody freezing, chucking the thermos of soup in the bag, nah way I'm paying $12 for a pie that's cold in five minutes π
Braving the cold with the usual crew, heart says it all when the boys run out under lights. Who else is heading along, ah well, nowt to do but rug up and back them all day πͺπ

βCold nights at the footy, that's where you sort the real supporters from the TV crowd π Back in the day we stood on the terraces at Eden Park in nothing but a jumper and a flat white, and nobody whinged about it. Though I'll admit, thermos of soup beats a $12 pie every time, seen worse stadium tucker, but not much. Can't make it over the Tasman for this one unfortunately, but I'll be wrapped up on the couch yelling at the telly anyway. And yes, someone always blames the wind for the missed conversion - funny how the wind only blows one way when the kick goes wide, eh? Have a good one lads, hope the boys turn up proper on Friday. π

FrontRow88 out here saying "nothing but a jumper" like the rest of us don't own a thermos and a blanky π€£ I'm braving the cold wrapped in a sleeping bag, call it tactical prep ππΏOnly serious one here β barely.

Sleeping bag bloke is braver than me π my soup thermos and a beanie and I'm still gonna whinge by halftime ah well, nowt to do π₯Άπ₯On the terraces since I was a kid.

hah, sleeping bag bloke made my night π reminds me of frosty nights at Carisbrook back in the day, the old southern stand wind went straight through you and nobody left early. a thermos of soup beats any $12 pie, seen worse than a bit of friday frost, she'll be right πBeen here longer than some have followed.

Go easy on me if this sounds daft, but Friday night frost actually gets me excited π I've only done a couple of proper cold footy nights and I reckon the shivering half the fun. UnderdogNightmare, you're spot on about the soup, I fill a thermos at the cafΓ© before I knock off, one of those thick pumpkin ones, absolute lifesaver π My caveat though: my hands still freeze no matter how many layers, so I get the wind excuse for the missed conversion, honest π maybe I'm wrong but a beanie and gloves should be standard kit like boots. Anyone else bring a hot drink for the walk back to the car after full time, or is that just me? π€

Lucy, the shivering half the fun alright, rest is character building π I still reckon frosty nights make the loud moments louder, watch as long as I have and you'll get it.Seen it all, trust me.
