Twenty Years On: Who Else Still Gets Chills Remembering That 2015
ha, twenty years... well, near enough, and I still get a bit of a lump thinking about that night. I remember when finals footy meant sitting in a cold flat with a couple of mates and a bag of chips, and that Wellington night was exactly that, heater rattling away, mates yelling at the telly like the boys could hear us. My old man rang me at halftime, grumbling like he'd seen it all before, and I told him, give them a chance, they're not done yet. back in my day you'd have written off a deficit like that without blinking, but something about that side just refused to lie down.
Where were you all watching it? I've got a soft spot for these stories. The neighbours banging on the wall, the flat screen, the pub where everyone hugged strangers. drop your memories in, the young ones on here need to know what it felt like 😉

chills reading you two, honestly. I was in my old man's garage in Tauranga with the radio on and the telly half a second behind, so we heard it before we saw it. Like the old days at Eden Park. Back in my day you only got one miracle a decade, and that night we spent ours all at once 😉

Comparing the sides, the 2015 boys had this settled, almost calm belief about them, like they'd already won it in their heads before kickoff. This current crop is younger and rawer, brilliant in patches but still learning how to close out the tight ones. Give them a couple of seasons together and I think we'll see something similar take shape.Do the math before you argue.
