Twenty years on, that 2015 title still gives me goosebumps
Twenty years on the rugby couch for me and that Wellington final still ranks as one of the best nights I've ever had at a ground, mates and I drove down from Auckland, spent more on fuel than the tickets 😄 When Naulu dotting down and Sopoaga nailing everything off the tee I just knew it was our night at last. Back in my day we were happy just making the semis, so watching the whole of Dunedin party till sunrise made an old fella pretty emotional.

✓Was only a young fella then, watching at the Nelson Arms with my old man, half the pub in Highlanders gear 😂 When Naulu went over I nearly spilled my drink everywhere 🙌 Been chasing that feeling ever since, honestly nothing beats it. Beautiful memories in here, lads 🙌 I was up in the terraces at the Cake Tin that night and I still rate that 2015 side as the complete package, Sopoaga pulling the strings, Smith and Fekitoa outside him, and a pack that just kept coming. The current crop have real talent and they play with plenty of heart, but that team had a sprinkle of match-winners in nearly every position, which is a rare thing. Give this lot another season or two of growing together and who knows, we might all be telling similar stories again.Numbers > vibes.
