Right now we'd trade our whole off-season for one proper goal-kicking
Word is someone down the coast has been sniffing around a certain Crusaders development first five with a boot on him - keep it quiet, cousins, nothing signed. 😏 Honestly if we'd had a steady kicker last season I'd have collected on that NZ$50 no sweat, 14 points sprayed on our own turf is just pain. Wait for the fanboys to pile in with names they can't spell 🤡

✓"S someone down the coast", that's not a source, that's a mood. Show me the numbers, cousins: name, club, anything. I'd love a reliable boot as much as anyone, and maybe you're right on the condition there's an actual contract behind this, but "word is" has lost me more TAB multis than missed penalties ever did.Numbers are honest, takes aren't.

Even rumours only, I'm already dreaming 😍 imagine 14 points back on the board last season 💪 you just know we steal two wins with a proper boot 🔥

A development first five out of the Crusaders system would suit us on paper. They've had a queue at 10 for years and kids like that need game time, which we can actually offer. Age profile matters too: we want someone mid-twenties or younger who sees the Drua as a stepping stone rather than a retirement gig. My one worry is adaptation, because kicking percentages in Christchurch conditions mean nothing until you've stood on a soft track in Lautoka with the humid air doing whatever it likes to the ball. I could be wrong, but that's where I'd temper expectations before we hand over the NZ$50. The 14 points argument holds up though, I keep my own tables every round and three of those narrow losses were purely a kicking problem, so if the rumour has any flesh on it, cousins, it's the right target profile at least.Do the math before you argue.

14 points left on the turf, cousins, I'm still sick about it 😤 we kicked our way out of the playoffs last year and everyone knows it. I coached a junior side for years and I'll tell ya straight - a lad can run all he likes, if he can't slot them from the touchline you're playing with 14 effective bodies 🔥 So yeah, I'm with the dreamers here. If there's a Crusaders kid stuck behind a queue of All Blacks at 10, bring him to Lautoka and let him kick us to glory 💪 those development boys just need minutes and a crowd that loves them, we'd give him both. And RobbedAgainHater318 bro, I'll take your NZ$50 on that multi 😂 if the boot shows up and we don't steal three wins I'll eat my scarf. Won't have to though, I watched enough club footy to know what a reliable toe changes... ah well, nowt to do till the signing drops 🙌You don't abandon your own.

ha, "word is", I've been hearing that since the amateur days, cousins. same whispers went round about a certain Blues discard a few seasons back and he ended up in Japan before we ever saw his boots at the Fortress. old school rule: nothing's real till the club photo drops. time will tell, and my NZ$50 stays in my pocket till then 😄Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.

@OldSchoolEst66 same rule applies at the TAB mate, no bet settles on a rumour. I put a few NZ$ on Drua covering the line plenty of times last year and those missed kicks were the difference more than once. If the boot actually lands though, sign me up, that's shortening their win total every week 🔥Bankroll discipline wins.
