From cappuccinos in Suva to the Super Rugby top eight
I remember when the Drua first came in and half the fellas on this very forum were saying they'd be easybeats for years π back in the day I sat through some rough seasons supporting sides that got flogged every away trip, so I knew what a young club copping it looks like. Then Lautoka 2023 happened. The Crusaders, of all teams, and that crowd noise when the final whistle went. Grown men crying, drums going till dark. You can't buy an afternoon like that.
Funny thing is my old mate in Suva reckons the cappuccino crowd only turned up once the wins did. Fair weather supporters, the lot of them π but honestly, top eight now and nobody's laughing anymore. The young lot never saw what it took to get here, and that's fine, they get to enjoy it. Chur, Drua.
