Word is there's a Crusaders midfield bloke sour on his game time and sniffing around for a fresh start, take that with a grain of salt mind. Imagine him hitting gaps at McLean Park in our colours though, centre channel sorted overnight. Anyone else heard a whisper or am I chasing wind?

Remember that game where they ran the same crash ball at us three times and three times we just bounced off? Still gives me nightmares tbh. Fringe Crusaders midfield means he's been training against the best every week, brings that edge and physicality we're crying out for. Wouldnt need him to be a superstar, just someone who actually tackles straight and hits the line with intent 💪 take the rumour with salt sure, but imagine the roar when he runs out at McLean Park in black and red... ah well, nowt to do but dream eh 🙌You don't abandon your own.

Depends how you count it, but a Crusaders midfield fringe player unhappy with game time is the one detail that actually stacks up - there's usually a couple of them every season stuck behind the incumbents, and a move to a province offering regular starts at 12/13 is exactly the career logic that makes these deals happen. Age matters too: if he's mid-twenties and still ambitious, Hawke's Bay is a sensible shop window; if he's the wrong side of thirty chasing a pay cheque, I'd be more cautious. Small sample though. One unnamed whisper with no name attached is worth roughly zero on its own. What I'd want to know before getting excited: his tackle stats per 80, whether he actually defends at 13 or drifts, and whether the Magpies even have salary room after the rest of the roster. The centre channel need is real enough, SeenItAll's colander description matches the tape, so if a name does surface I'll happily run his numbers.Numbers > vibes.

Learned my lesson putting money down on rumours though, same as multis that die on the last leg.
