FINALLY the 4th of October is nearly here ππ₯ already counting down the days til we head up the road to Albany. That 57-42 v Northland was pure chaos and then holding Canterbury to 25 a week later?? which Harbour side shows up lol π

Lee's got a point tbh, 42 points leaked at home is ugly no matter how you dress it up π¬ but I coached juniors long enough to know defence falls apart when the boys stop talking, and that Otago game looked like a different team actually talking to each other. You just know the Rotorua boys will be fired up for this one, whanau coming up the road, vocal crowd, nothing to lose π Question for the nervous mob: what did that Hawke's Bay win tell you? 31-24 away from home, scrappy but they closed it out. This side wins tight and scores quick - that combo travels alright imo. I'll be in Albany on the 4th, $20 says we sneak it π₯πͺHeart with the team, head on pause.

Honest question from someone still learning the game π if talking to each other fixes defence, how come the chat didn't happen against Northland in the first place? One week they ship 42 at home, next week they look organised, feels like we're just choosing whichever game we like best π€ Don't laugh, but I'd trust the Canterbury/Otago pattern more if it lasted longer than one match.New here, soaking it up.
