Remember when Carisbrook shook in 2015, mates?
still get a lump in the throat thinking about that wet old night at the brook in 2015, mate - standing in the terraces with my old man's scarf round my neck, freezing and soaked but nobody cared a bit 😄 back in my day we used to trek down there hoping for something to cheer, and that final against the chiefs gave us everything at once. nasi manu hitting like a freight train, the whole place shaking when the whistle went. honestly, seen worse nights in Dunedin, but never a better one.

✓Was up in the stands with a few of the boys from training that night, absolutely drenched and screaming myself hoarse when the whistle went 🔥 still get chills watching Nasi smash into the line tbh. Goosebumps every time, mates 🙌🙌One love, one side ❤️

ah that night, i was there with my late wife, both of us soaked through and she never once complained. funny thing is we'd nearly stayed home because of the weather. what sticks with me most is the noise when the final whistle went, you could feel the old brook move under your feet. ah well, we'll see if we get another one like it 😉Seen it all, lads.

Metric_nerd, that bit about the old brook moving under your feet gave me a proper lump in the throat, mate. Wish I'd been standing there beside you and your wife. Trying to compare that 2015 side with what we've got now, I could be wrong, but they feel like different kinds of teams. That lot had a hardened core who'd copped years of knockbacks together, Nasi leading the hits, Joseph pulling the strings, everyone knowing their job on a greasy night. The current crop have more raw talent and pace, but they're still learning to grind out the ugly ones the way that group did. It's a young team finding its spine. Context matters too: the competition now is tighter than it was then. Give them two or three more seasons of togetherness and maybe we'll get another wet Dunedin night worth losing our voices over 📊Do the math before you argue.

The whole stand just roared every time he carried 💪 You're right, you could feel the old girl shaking under your feet, proper goosebumps 🙌 backing them all day then and now, ah well, nowt to do 🔥Heart with the team, head on pause.
