From Larkham's drop goal to our own backyard legends
i remember when... well, i was glued to the telly for that 2004 final rather than in the ground, but you could hear it through the screen, 22,000 of you belting the club song while larkham just strolled around running the show like he owned the place. that's the night i properly became a brumbies man, even from down here in the deep south. old school rugby, played with a grin on its face.
as for the mortlock scarf story, i'd believe every word of it. players like that knew what the jumper meant to people. my own grandson still has a signed thing of his own he refuses to wash 😄 proudest moment to bleed the blue? that whole era really. Blokes who played for each other first. ah well, we'll see what the next generation brings.

✓Watched that one from my mate's flat, yelling so loud the neighbours complained 😅 Larkham strolling around like it was training, chills even through the telly, sweet as memories aye 🙌You don't abandon your own.

ah 2004, the young lot never saw a forward pack bend a line like those boys did that night 😄 i was up watching from my cousin's place in canberra that winter, still got the stubby opener mortlock signed at the bar afterwards, cost me a beer to get him to do it. hard out, moments like that are why we bleed blue aye 🙌Remember when the grass was greener 🌱

Hard to argue with that 2004 pack, but the current lot have more running depth. Just needs a couple of seasons to click, bro. Proud either way. 📊Numbers > vibes.
