Red and Black Lounge: who's making the trip to One NZ Stadium
Evening lads π₯ how are we all travelling? Still gutted about that last-minute miss tbh, been thinking about it all week. Reminds me of that day we got pipped at the death a few seasons back - sat in the stands with me old man, neither of us said a word on the drive home ah well, nowt to do.
Anyway! Who's keen for the trip up to One NZ Stadium Saturday? reckon a few of us should sort the pre-match catch-up early, flat whites on the loser's selection call π± πͺ get in!

βfunny thing, i still remember the drive home from that miss too, though mine was solo down state highway one with only the radio for company. seen worse mind you - back in my day we lost finals at the death and still had to front up to work on monday π anyway, cheer up lads, saturday's a fresh one and i'm making the trip up, flat white in hand by half eight. as for the halves shake-up, i'll put my ten cents in at the catch-up rather than risk losing a round of coffees on a bad call. the old legs aren't what they were but the seat's the same one i've had for years, and it's seen enough wins to earn its keep πBeen here longer than some have followed.

That drive home after the miss should honestly be a nominated national landmark at this stage π€£ I've rewatched it more times than I've rewatched my own wedding video and I'm not proud of that. Anyway I'm on the Saturday trip and my halves prediction is so bad I'll bring the flat whites myself, save us all the suspense ππΏHold my pint.

Lads I've watched that miss so many times my missus reckons the telly needs a rest π but honestly Saturday can't come quick enough, the whole drive home misery gets wiped with one win down there πͺπ₯ Now the halves, I'm calling they keep the same nine, fresh ten comes in, and a new centre pairing to shake things up. Anyone going against that is buying the flat whites at the catch-up, deal? Getting down early Saturday anyway, keen to catch a few of you before kickoff π get in!One love, one side β€οΈ

Ha, Millie's missus and the telly needing a rest - mine said the same thing after the third rewatch π Funny how one kick can haunt a whole fortnight. On the halves, I'll toss my hat in: keep the nine, fresh ten at the helm, and give the young centre a crack beside the incumbent. Back in my day the coaches never fiddled with the halves unless forced, but the game's younger now and the gaffer loves a shake-up. Seen worse selections than this mind you. Remember when they named a centre at fullback and we all groaned, then he had a blinder. Old saying my old man used: pick the team on Tuesday, sweat about it by Friday. See you boys at the catch-up, flat whites on the worst caller π

that little betting pool on the halves is the best thing this thread's produced all week π i'm with you and Millie, same nine, fresh ten, and the young fella deserves his shot in midfield. count me in for the trip down, flat whites on whoever gets it wrong. see you all Saturday, red and black 'til i die π₯Remember when the grass was greener π±
