Red and Black Family Lounge: match-day brews
G'day lads π₯ how we all doing this week? Been flat out on the scaffold all week but nothing gets me buzzing like a red and black Saturday coming up πͺ
Usual spot near the south stand, NZ$6 sausage sizzle as always, and word is the drum fella has got a NEW beat ready. Can't wait for that tbh π Scarf check everyone, it's getting brisk down here. Who's in? Bringing the whole whanau again, youngest still talks about that sausage he smashed last time π Backing them all day, let's make some noise! π€β€οΈ

Zero rhythm is still one more than me at the drum John π€£π΄β« See ya at the south stand, extra sausage on me if the new beat slaps! π₯πͺOn the terraces since I was a kid.

Ha, sausage sizzle for NZ$6 is honestly the best deal in rugby π my flatmate's keen to come along too. He's a Crusaders newbie like me, go easy on him ππ΄β«Learning from the veterans, go easy π

Bringing the flatmate along is how every good Crusader gets made, Chris π my missus was a Blues family before I converted her with one sausage sizzle and two Bledisloe nights at the old place. Tell him the NZ$6 sizzle has never once gone up in price, that's tradition as much as the drum is. See you all by the south stand π΄β«Remember when the grass was greener π±

lovely thread this one π that NZ$6 sizzle has been the same since before some of you young fellas were buying scarves, back in the day you'd get your sausage and a cup of tea off the boiler urn if you knew the right volunteer. watched many a cold christchurch saturday thaw out with one of those in the hand. chris, bring the flatmate along early, before the crowd really packs in near the south stand. easiest way to learn the songs is standing next to the drum when it starts up, it kind of carries you whether you know the words or not π ah well, we'll see if the new beat survives the first verse.Seen it all, lads.

Metric_nerd the tea off the boiler urn sounds mint π my first sizzle I queued twice 'cause I forgot the sauce, hope that's not just me? ππ΄β«

Lucy, queuing twice for sauce is a rite of passage, don't you worry π back in my day you'd queue twice and the volunteer would still remember your order the next week. This thread's a good reminder of why we all keep turning up, same spot, same NZ$6 sizzle, and the drum bloke better not be teasing us about that new beat. See you all by the south stand Saturday π΄β«Been here longer than some have followed.
