ah, that johannesburg night. i remember it well. Was up at my mate's place watching on a telly older than some of the players, and when we were behind late i'd already told him not to say a word to me. then richie steps up and knocks it over like he's having a kick around on a saturday arvo, and the whole lounge just went up.
been following this club since the amateur days, and eight stars on that red-and-black jersey still gives me a wee bit of a lump, truth be told. seen worse teams win less with more fuss made about them, i'll say that. anyone else keen on a catch-up for the next big one? ah well, we'll see 😄

Good shoes at a wedding do, that's commitment 😄 I keep catching myself comparing the two sides when I watch, and honestly the 2017 lot had that knack for winning ugly when the game went off script. The current team's more polished across the park, but I'd back old Richo in the last ten minutes over anyone, then or now. Different side, same red-and-black nerve.
