FINALLY the Highlanders get a run where they're actually breathing fire again π₯ That LLWLW flicker had me chewing my fingernails for weeks, and last week's win? get in!! π€
Ninth on 24 points, yeah, the table says mountain to climb, and that 327-424 swing is ugly to look at. But our lot never make it easy, do they?? Two from the last three in Dunedin and suddenly the place is humming again. Half of me says nah, too far back, other half is already circling the TAB for a cheeky multi πͺ c'mon boys, time to make Forsyth Barr shake! π

βWatched that last win from the couch with a couple of mates and honestly the house was ROCKING π₯ Ben you're right, when they breathe fire they can scare anyone in this comp. But nah, don't sugarcoat the 424 against. The defence has been leaking like a colander all season, and one win doesn't plug that. Still, the run home is there if the boys front up. A few sides above them are wobbling, and if Dunedin gets humming again those Friday nights are gonna be brutal for visitors. Big if though π€ part of me says back them to the hilt, part of me remembers half the tries they've shipped and wants my money back off the TAB ah well, nowt to do but sit back and see π₯ HIGHLANDERS HIGHLANDERS πOn the terraces since I was a kid.

Even money they finish 9th again if the defence keeps leaking like that, 424 against is a -97 points differential, no punter worth their salt takes them seriously off the short price. I had NZ$20 on them last week as value over a big price, it landed, but I'm not chasing at these odds. Wait for the line to drift past 8 before you even think about loading up π₯Bankroll discipline wins.

Coached enough of these kids to know what Millie means about structure π but here's my thing, that last win came off the backs carrying hard, none of this fancy stuff. If our lot keep that up front, dunedin crowd does the rest and they'll sneak a few more. Conceding big hurts but we back them all day, always have π₯ ah well, nowt to doYou don't abandon your own.

been watching rugby at that ground since before it had a roof on the stands, and i'll tell you the table lies less than hope does. Ninth on 24 points, nearly a hundred points worse off, that's a hole dug over 14 weeks, not one muddy win fills. seen worse sides than this turn it round though, and dunedin in the wet has embarrassed plenty of fancied travelling packs. is the fix fitness or personnel? ask me again after the derby, that'll tell us more than the form guide ever will πBeen here longer than some have followed.
