Can Manawatu really shut down Canterbury at Central Energy Trust
FINALLY a Friday night worth circling on the calendar π₯π₯ Turbos v Canterbury at the Arena, 3 October, get in!!
That 40 on Auckland away had me out of my chair, tbh never seen our boys cut loose like that. And yeah Waikato stung a bit at 27:36 but you look at the Taranaki grind and Bay of Plenty and this side has got proper ticker. Three from four and now the big dog comes to Palmy. Canta will bring the vaunted machine but the Arena is gonna be COOKING πͺ I've watched games out there since I was a kid and when that crowd gets up, the noise does things to visiting teams, honestly. Whether the boys can live with them for 80, dunno, but the 40:34 night says the ceiling is higher than anyone thought. Through thick and thin eh, this is the one we've been waiting for π Nah don't tell me it's just hope, I saw what I saw in Auckland. Ah well, nowt to do but count the days π₯

β40 on Auckland away and you lot still reckon we'll roll over for Canterbury π Cant wait to see red Boys faces in Palmy π₯πͺOne love, one side β€οΈ

Put 20 on the Turbos +7 earlier and the line's already tightened. Bookies fear this one. Value's gone though, should've loaded up Monday πΈValue over a big price πΈ

Gonna be a fun night, my local is already buzzing πΏ Canterbury coming to Palmy and getting 40 dropped on Auckland away, the Arena might actually shake πMemes are analysis too.

That Auckland night was something eh, reminded me of the old days when visiting sides left Eden Park shaken. BenFaithful, I'm with you, but that Waikato loss is still sitting in the back of my mind, Canterbury will punish loose bits worse than Waikato did. Seen enough Turbos seasons to know one great night doesn't make a campaign πSeen it all, lads.

Funny how one night in Auckland and suddenly everyone's a prophet π Look, that 40:34 was unreal, I was watching it at my mate's place and we couldn't believe how they cut loose. But Ultra88 is onto something with the Waikato game. 27:36 a week earlier, same side. That's the team that shows up when the opposition actually tackles. Canterbury at the Arena will punish those loose bits way worse than Waikato did. Though I'd love to be wrong, free night out in Palmy either way π€‘πΈAny stat can be bent.

Ultra88 has it right, Canterbury will punish sloppiness far worse than Waikato did. I've sat through enough cold Friday nights at the Arena to know defence wins those ones πBeen here longer than some have followed.

27:36 to Waikato then 40 on Auckland a week apart? That's some swing. Defence holds against Canterbury or this turns into another shootout πAny stat can be bent.
-
UnderdogNightmare nailed it, defence wins cold Palmerston North nights. Seen worse Turbos sides than this though, and the Arena crowd will lift them. Ah well, we'll see πSeen it all, lads.

Metric_nerd's right that the Arena crowd will lift them, no doubt about that. Back in my day we'd pack that place on a cold Friday and the visitors hated every minute of it π my only worry is whether the boys who leaked 36 to Waikato can front up defensively for eighty minutes against Canterbury, because that swing Gary mentioned has me scratching my head a bit.Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.

OldSchool's got it right, defence wins those cold Friday nights. Back in my trucking days I'd finish a Palmerston North run just to catch the second half there. 36 leaked to Waikato worries me though πWatch as long as I have and you'll get it.

Defence held BoP to 12 one week then leaked 36 to Waikato the next, that's the bit everyone's skipping past π Amy throwing NZ$20 at the TAB on heart alone, brave sort of punter. Canterbury at the Arena will punish any repeat of that Waikato night, sure thing, mate π€‘Here to argue, not to nod along.

Seen this movie before, fellas. A young side tears it up away, everyone anoints them, then a home night humbles them. Expectations lie more than the TAB line does πSeen it all, trust me.
