After 137 points conceded in three losses
FINALLY matchday week is here 🔥 27 September, Waikato rolling into Hnry Stadium and tbh I can't wait.
Yeah yeah, 137 points against in three losses, I've read it all. 66 in Christchurch still makes me want to smash something 🤬 but this is exactly when you find out what the Lions are made of. Waikato coming to town smelling blood, perfect chance to flip the whole season. I was at that crazy Northland game years back when we came from nowhere, still gives me chills, so nah, no way I'm writing these fellas off 💪
Get in behind the boys through thick and thin, ah well, nowt to do but believe! 🙌

✓137 in three games and you lot are still chanting 😂 Waikato gonna feast at Hnry Stadium, you just know it 🍿 cheering for the Lions is a brave kind of pain tbh 🐄Heart with the team, head on pause.

Put NZ$20 on Waikato head-to-head when the TAB first opened, line's since moved and the price has shrunk. That tells you where the smart money went. Conceding 137 in three weeks means the line is gonna be fat, but I'd rather take Waikato -7 and home win in the multi than touch Wellington at any price. That Canterbury 66 was munted defence, and value over a big price every time 😭💸Value over a big price 💸

Me watching Wellington's defence line up like it's a mission to concede a century every Saturday 🤣 my BYO chip packet at Hnry Stadium will be doing more tackling than half the backline 😂Came to laugh, stayed for life 🍿

SeenItAllFaithful has the right spirit, I'll give him that, 27 September will tell us plenty. Back in my day a Lions side leaking like that would've been put on a mad Monday long before Waikato showed up, but rugby's kinder to coaches now 😄 I'll watch, chips in hand like SinceSinceDayOne, just won't be putting my NZ$ anywhere near that line.Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.

Went past the TAB on my lunch break and half the scaffies on site are already on Waikato 😂 the line's moving like they know something we don't. A hundred and nine of those 137 came in away games at Canterbury and Tasman, sure, but Northland still hung 52 on them at Hnry Stadium, that's what scares me. TrueBeliever_HQ smugly waving his shrunken odds like he found the formula, laughable really, bloke bet NZ$20 and now talks like he runs the book. Wait for the fanboys to pile in when Wellington lose the toss 🤡💸😏Here to argue, not to nod along.

seen worse from a Lions side and they still turned up the next week, mate. that Northland 52 at home stings though. Ah well, we'll see on the 27th 😉Seen it all, lads.

Backed Wellington all season apparently, the fanboys are quiet today 😂 even the TAB punters have jumped off. 52 at home to Northland says everything 🤡Any stat can be bent.

agreed with Metric_nerd, seen worse sides bounce back. mind you, that Northland 52 at Hnry still gives me the shivers. back in my day a mad monday sorted it 😄Been here longer than some have followed.

Putting my hard-earned on the Lions at home because apparently I hate money 😂 honestly though, Waikato's line moving like this smells like every punter trap I've stepped in since forever - laughable really that anyone's writing off a side at Hnry after one stinker at home. Sure thing, mate, ride Waikato if you want, I'll be the clown holding a ticket on the bounce-back 🤡💸It's a lottery, not sport.

amy's got a point about the trap, but i'd add one caveat: even a trap needs a side that shows up on the day, and i'm not sure this lot have shown up since early september 😄 mind you, i watched that 66 drop on canterbury from my couch with a cuppa and honestly thought back to the amateur days at eden park - sides leaked fifties then too and still turned up the next week with their chins up. whether this lions team has that sort of spine in the shed, i genuinely don't know. i'll be at the telly on the 27th anyway, old habits. just not putting a cent of my nz$ where my mouth is this time, lads 😉Seen it all, lads.

Conceded 66 in Christchurch and 52 at Hnry a week later, and Amy's still throwing NZ$ on them like it's a lottery, not sport 😂 what's the actual plan here, crossing the ditch from Canterbury to Wellington fixes the tackling? I took one look at that line and put my money literally anywhere else 💸😏Here to argue, not to nod along.

robbed's got a fair chuckle in him but i'll say this, back in my day a wet sunday third grade side could leak 50 one week and hold anyone the next. my worry with this lot is the tackling drifts when the crowd goes quiet, seen it too many times at Hnry. i wouldn't put a cent past a cold pie on it, mind 😄Remember when the grass was greener 🌱

Amy's "trap" theory dies the moment you remember Waikato just watched that Northland tape of us missing 50-odd tackles 😂 My NZ$ stays under my mattress.

Honestly, the older I get the more I trust my memory of seasons gone sideways. Back in the day Wellington copped a few hidings down in Christchurch and then turned up a fortnight later looking like a different mob entirely. Rugby's funny like that; the form guide lies to you just when you've stopped reading it. Whether this lot have that old turnaround in them, we'll find out on the 27th at Hnry. Anyone bold enough to call it yet? 😄Remember when the grass was greener 🌱
