Three weeks of pain. Christchurch was hard to watch, I couldn't finish my cuppa in the second half. But this is where seasons get saved. Hnry Stadium under lights against Waikato, home crowd on their back, you just know there's fight left in this squad. We've been rolled three straight, sure, but backing them all day to turn up THIS time 🔥🇳🇿

Can't see a bounce-back anywhere near that price, Waikato will probably be giving a few points start and even then I'd want more. Put NZ$20 on Wellington head-to-head? nah, the line moved hard after Christchurch for a reason. Better use of the money is odd try scorer in the Waikato backline 😭💸Bankroll discipline wins.

I sat through a few hidings at Eden Park back in my day and the good teams always found a response the next week, so I'll back the fightback against Waikato. That said, 160 points in three weeks isn't just bad luck, the defensive shape looked gone entirely. Seen worse, honestly. Late eighties we copped a few hidings at the Park and everyone wrote the side off, then they'd turn up the next week and play out of their skins. Rugby has a funny way of humbling the punters who think they've got it figured out. That said, 160 in three weeks is a proper old-fashioned slump, and you don't patch that shape in a fortnight with a few video sessions. I'll be at Hnry on the 27th like always, warm coat and low hopes 😄 Waikato away or home, they'll come hard at us. Maybe they surprise us, maybe they don't.
