Been waiting YEARS for a Wellington side to look this scary, reminds me of those old cantankerous Hurricanes teams that just ran over everyone. Big one coming up, cant wait 💪🙌 get in!

Seen worse seasons from this lot, believe me - remember when the cake tin felt more like a wake than a game day 😄 andy's got a point though, three losses will come back to haunt you in finals footy if the defence has an off night. still, watching this lot throw the ball around is a proper treat, savour it while it lasts young fellas.Seen it all, lads.

Ultra88 remembers the grim ones alright, and so do I, been watching since the amateur days and I've seen worse Wellington sides than this, plenty of them 😄 andy's right that defence travels, mind. back in my day the best teams won finals with their forwards grunting, not the flash. enjoy the top spot, but keep a blanket handy for june, the southerly always arrives.Been here longer than some have followed.

funny how the wind down at the cake tin used to blow everything sideways and the boys still made it look easy back then... underdog's got it right, the flash is lovely but finals nights reward the blokes who front up at the breakdown. this lot can do both, mind - 298 against in fourteen games tells you they're not just pretty runners. only thing worrying me is that habit of switching off for twenty minutes, saw it in a couple of those three losses. fix that and I'd back them against anyone. ah well, we'll see 😄Seen it all, lads.

Good grief, some of you are booking the parade already 😄 fullback lad, I've seen better sides than this one lose a semifinal at the cake tin in a howling southerly. Back in my day the 'Canes had years where the table meant nothing by July. Lovely footy no doubt, but ask wynnie's ghost what expectation does to a team.
