Three wins and 121 points on the board and still chasing someone. Depends how you count it, I suppose, but the table clearly rewards more than wins. My working hypothesis: whoever sits above them is stacking bonus points alongside results, and 121-70 suggests the All Blacks have been winning comfortably enough to leave late tries on the table. With every remaining fixture away - Scotland first on 7 November, then Wales, then England, margin becomes currency, so I'd expect them to run on harder, not coast. 📊

No question's too silly, Lucy, I've asked worse at the pub 😄. A bonus point is just extra table points for doing something flashy, like scoring lots of tries or losing by a whisker, which is how the All Blacks can win three straight, rack up 121-70, and still sit second with 15 points while someone above stacks those extras.
