Suncorp's our lounge, Reds family
Evening lads, how are we all feeling?? ππ₯ Suncorp's gonna be absolutely heaving Friday and I can't wait, derby nights are the best nights, simple as. Heard the rumour about the punter with the NZ$50 Tahs shout buying the first round if we go back-to-back, mate that's a round I'll happily drink to ππ Get in, nowt to do but show up and roar.

βha, that NZ$50 punter better have his wallet ready then, because back-to-back feels written in the stars to me π back in the day we used to pass the hat round the pub for the first round, now it's one lucky sook with a TAB slip shouting everyone. can't wait for Friday, derby nights under the lights never get old.Seen it all, lads.

If that punter owns up I'll personally carry him round Ballymore like a king π held my pint up to my old man after doing the same, spilled half of it on meself π€£πMemes are analysis too.

Ha if that punter coughs up at NZ$50 odds he's earned every shout π₯ Suncorp'll be bouncing Friday, can't wait πͺπ

Ha, hope that punter's wallet survives Friday π€£ still learning this club's superstitions but maybe I'm wrong, feels like we jinx it if we plan the shouts before kickoff π my first derby at Suncorp I lost my voice by halftime, worth it though. First round's on him if it lands, I'll happily chip in for the pies πLearn something new every day.

TrueFan2009's onto something with the jinx talk, back in my day we never counted the shout till the pint was poured π still, if that punter fronts up at Suncorp on Friday he'd want to get to the bar early, last derby the queue round the concourse was longer than the one for the toilets. seen worse problems to have though πBeen here longer than some have followed.

Ha, jinx talk is sweet as but I say let him buy early π my old man always reckons the shout's only real once the pint's in your hand. TrueFan2009, don't stress about losing your voice, I did the same at my first derby and haven't stopped since π go easy on me if I'm wrong, but if the punter pays up does he have to shout everyone or just his mates?
-
ha, the jinx debate takes me back a bit. in my day we reckoned you never bought the round before the whistle, but my old man had a different rule - he'd shout the first one at half time win or lose, said the beer tasted sweeter when you were ahead and braced you when you weren't. wise fella in his own way π as for the punter with the NZ$50 shot, i hope he's a big lad because there'll be forty thirsty blokes forming an orderly queue behind him at the concourse bar the second that whistle goes. ah well, we'll seeSeen it all, lads.

Half time shout, win or lose, that's a man after my own heart, Metric_nerd. My old man was the same breed, he'd have the first round lined up before we'd even found our seats at Eden Park, reckoned arguing over who paid was bad luck. Never did us any harm π And young TrueFan2009, don't you go worrying about jinxes, the only thing that's ever jinxed a derby night is turning up late and missing the haka of an atmosphere when the boys run out. Suncorp heaving, cold ones flowing, and if that punter with his NZ$50 slip fronts up Friday then good on him, he's earned the right to be loud about it. First round's sorted either way, question is who's brave enough to shout the second if it goes down to the wire...πWatch as long as I have and you'll get it.
