Righto Tahs fam. Who do we raid the Shute Shield for at openside
Our breakdown was a crime scene last season, pure and simple. Every time I watch the Tahs get cleaned out at ruck time I wonder who at Daceyville signed off on that recruiting.
Word is there's been a look at a Shute Shield No.7 doing the rounds, someone who topped the pilfer count up north and is keen for a crack. Won't say names because I'd only end up looking silly if it falls through 😏 Anyway, put me down for anyone who can actually slow the ball down, I don't care if he's a sparky by trade. Who's your pick then, and more importantly has anyone actually backed the Tahs at the TAB this season or are you all too sensible 🤡💸

✓"Word is there's been a look" according to who exactly? Your mate's barber? I'll happily name a Shute Shield No.7 once someone shows me an actual sighting, a trial report, anything with a source attached. Sounds good but I've heard this rumour three seasons running and the breakdown stats stayed rubbish every time, so forgive the scepticism.Numbers are honest, takes aren't.

Seriously, we need a genuine wreck-tamper from the Shute Shield. Our lot deserve a powerhouse at the breakdown. 🔥💪Heart with the team, head on pause.

Happy to name names but I keep my tables honest: a Shute Shield No.7 going straight into a Super squad at openside is a big jump, sample size of one preseason trial and all. More realistic is a young breakout like a Hamish Floyd type getting a development contract, i.e. cover rather than an instant fixer. If the breakdown was as bad as the stats say, the raid makes sense, but I'd temper expectations on an immediate 20-pilfer season from a club player. 📊Numbers > vibes.

it always feels like every great recruitment saga begins with a whisper, doesn't it? i remember thinking a particular no.7 from the shute shield was going to make the big jump, only for the news to come out months later that he'd gone in a different direction. those kinds of reports are often just hopeful talk, not actual certainty, ah well, we'll see.Seen it all, lads.
