Righto, even if this trialist is 90% wind-up, sign me up for the dream anyway 😂 We've been screaming out for a second five who can actually catch, pass and run a line for years. Watched us get schooled in that channel at Semenoff again and again... 40+ at home, mate, that's just embarrassing 💀 Anyone with a proper pass on them changes everything for our wingers too. Fast Whangarei track, space out wide, that's where we should be living. Depends how you count it, but an unnamed Super trialist drifting north mid-signing window? That's a slim sample of evidence, Supporter_88, and clubs usually keep those blokes quiet until the squad list drops. If he's real, a running second five in his prime would be a strange get for us given the budget, more likely a journeyman filling a gap. Happy to be proved wrong though, I'd take a distributor over another terminal runner any day.Numbers > vibes.

Josh, you're spot on about the channel at Semenoff, that's been broken for seasons. I sat behind the posts for the last home game and watched the same cutout play get defended by one bloke three times because our second five offered zero running threat. A genuine distributor next to the flyhalf would fix half of it. That said, I'll believe the trialist rumour when a name attaches to it. Sounds good but unnamed blokes "spotted training" have been every club's thing since forever. On condition that management actually sign someone with real game time, I'm with you. Until then I'm not convinced, and Supporter_88 can keep his NZ$20 in his pocket.Numbers are honest, takes aren't.

ha, trialist stories... I've been following this club since before some of you young lot were born, and I reckon we've had about six "mystery training sightings" in that time. Only one ever turned into anything, and he pulled a hamstring in the first warm-up 😄 Mind you, back in my day the rumours were slower but somehow more reliable. I'll believe it when the squad list drops, but the need in that channel is real enough that I'd take anyone who can pass off the wrong foot. time will tell, boys, time will tell 😉Remember when the grass was greener 🌱
