Eden Park eve: who's bringing the flags and who's still crying about
G'day lads π₯ eve of a big one at Eden Park and I'm already buzzing, this reminds me of that night we snuck in behind the sticks and sang our lungs off till the cops moved us along π doing a pub run tomorrow, NZ$20 a head covers my shout at the Kingslander π who's bringing the flags and who's STILL carrying on about that semi, eh? Our lot never make it easy but I'm backing them all day πͺ

βcount me in for the NZ$20, and i'll bring the old flag my old man sewed me back in the day. Bit faded but so am i π i'll take the 2024 semi tears over the way we used to cop it at eden park in the amateur years any week. see you fellas at the kingslander at 5, first jug's on you eh? πRemember when the grass was greener π±

π€£ Fix if that flag can still fly I'll put a NZ$20 multi on it. Crying about 2024? Mate I'm still in the grief support group πΏπHold my pint.

π OldSchool you're the last bloke allowed to give grief counselling, mate. Flag's flying whatever state she's in. Get in! πYou don't abandon your own.

i've got a couple of old blues flags in the cupboard from the early super days, faded as anything but they'll fly tomorrow π and put me down for the NZ$20, see you all at the kingslander at 5, first jug on UnderdogNightmare as promised. as for the 2024 semi, watch as long as i have and you'll learn to let those ones go... mostly πBeen here longer than some have followed.

I've only got a wee Blues scarf from my first game, but it's coming tomorrow π still learning this whole semi grief thing, maybe I'm wrong to be excited instead, see you all at 5 πLearn something new every day.

TrueFan2009, excitement is the right response, young fella. Nobody ever sang louder in the grief group anyway π my old man took me to eden park back in the amateur days and i've dragged the same tatty flag out ever since, she'll be there tomorrow next to UnderdogNightmare's faded ones. see you all at the kingslander at 5, and the no-look pass stories will flow whether anyone wants them or not πSeen it all, lads.

Ultra88 is right, excitement beats grief any day π I was too young for the 2024 semi but my flatmate still sulks about it, so I'll be extra loud tomorrow for both of us π

Funny how the young fella's loud excitement counts and my questions about the actual team sheet don't. Half the hype in this thread is built on one semi result nobody's defined properly. Was that semi won on set piece or on the other mob falling apart? Big difference for tomorrow. Kingslander's a good call, though. I'll be there before I go up to the ground, flag left at home because I'm not paying the gate price for sentiment. Still not convinced on the loose forward mix but I'll believe it when I see it. See youse at the park.Sample first, conclusions after.

Was that semi won on set piece orβ¦@Supporter_Zone fair question actually π I wasn't at that semi so I can't say if it was set piece or luck. But hype before a match is half the fun, eh? Can someone explain simply what we should watch for tomorrow? πLearning from the veterans, go easy π
