Evening lads! π₯ Matchday eve already, how's everyone feeling? Got my tickets sorted, taking a couple of the juniors I coach along with me. Their first live game this season, keen to see their faces when the boys run out π
Weather looking a bit dodgy from Nelson side tbh but hey, that wind off the harbour is part of the deal, aye? π± Haven't voted in the poll yet, torn between Gate G pies and yelling at the big screen, both are sacred rituals tbh. Who else going early for warmup?

βtook the grandkids to their first game last season and honestly the look on their faces beat any win since the old days π my ritual's simple, pie from Gate G, a spot where the harbour wind hits you proper, and a good grizzle at the big screen when the replays come up. that wind's part of the furniture, anyone who complains about it never stood on the Terrace back in the day. ah well, we'll seeSeen it all, lads.

ha, beanie nearly gone to Wellington, that's the proper Cabbage Tree experience young fella π you'll learn quick, one hand on the pie, other hand on the railing. Good to see the thread humming the night before a match again. Back in my day we used to stand in the old terraces at Athletic Park getting sandblasted and loved every minute of it, so an $8 pie and a harbour gale sounds like luxury to this old truckie. Welcome to the new faces too, pull up a chair, you're among friends here. Anyone else doing the ritual tomorrow or just me and the thermos? πWatch as long as I have and you'll get it.

Took the grandkids up the eastern side last year - the wind off the harbour nearly took their hot chips skywards, proper old Athletic Park stuff π pie and the gale get my vote.Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.
