Hurricanes top the table with 11 wins in 14
562 points in 14 games, that attack is carrying my multis most weekends. Brave enough to call the drop? Not me. I've got them winning the run home, though 3 losses says the line against them is getting shorter by the week. Put NZ$20 on them topping the table at the TAB, landed nicely so far. 🔥

✓Chasing points scored in isolation is where I'd be careful, the 298 against over 14 games is the column that actually decides their run home, and with 3 losses already on the board the market's long since priced the obvious away trips. I could be wrong, but WWWLW on a 55-point ledger reads as dominance with cracks, so a single stumble feels likelier than a full slide. Still backing them top two, but I'd hedge rather than lump on the clean sweep.

Defense is a fair point Nick but I'd argue the real key is the schedule. Three losses already means the market's done its homework and the line against them has nowhere left to move. I'm still riding them for the run home, small NZ$15 multi with the odd try scorer on top, hedged the rest. 😭💸Value over a big price 💸

562 points and everyone's suddenly a Hurricanes truther, hilarious 😂 Remember last season when TrueFan4Life had them "locked" for the run home too? Tanked it by June and went quiet for a month. Fool me once eh. And in reality? 298 conceded in 14 games isn't a title defence, that's a side winning shootouts and hoping the wheels hold for another fortnight. I'll happily take the brave pill, one away trip against a decent defensive line and this table's wide open, the TAB knows it too which is why their line keeps shrinking. Chloe hedging a NZ$15 multi "with the odd try scorer on top" is pure comedy, that's a lottery ticket love, not a prediction 💸😏Here to argue, not to nod along.

RobbedAgain stirring the pot as usual 😂 nah I backed them through thick and thin, 3 losses means nothing, everyone drops one somewhere. They're not tanking, that's just history trolling you ah well, nowt to do 💪You don't abandon your own.

I keep a running column every round, and the stat nobody's mentioned yet is turnover differential territory, specifically conversion rate inside the red zone, 264-point margin at roughly 19 per game suggests they're banking tries whenever they enter the 22, which historically travels better than raw offence. Depends how you count late-season fatigue; three losses is noise at this stage of the draw. My scribbled sheet still reads top two minimum, and yes I took them head-to-head outright weeks ago at a far friendlier price than today's squeezed line.Numbers > vibes.

BadBeatKing talking about red zone conversion like he's got the Canes playbook on his desk 😂 mate they scored 562 in 14 games, that's not a stat, that's a steamroller. 3 losses and everyone acts like the sky's falling... who's actually tipping them to drop then? Put your NZ$ where your mouth is 🤬🔥One love, one side ❤️

FullbackNut asked who's actually tipping a drop, so here's mine: I'll take the 3 losses seriously. 11 from 14 is very good, but my column shows their for-and-against has tightened in those two recent slips (562-298 still reads elite, small sample though), and a 264-point margin across 14 rounds has never survived the run home untouched in my tables. Top spot with 55 points? Safe. A perfect run home? I'd want better odds than the TAB will give me.

FixIsInPTSD writing a whole column over two losses 😂 mate they're top by miles, my TAB multi's riding them all the way... no drop happening 🔥🇳🇿Heart with the team, head on pause.

Nobody's asked the question I actually care about: which of those 3 losses would repeat against a full-strength finals opponent? That's the one worth digging into. My spreadsheet keeps telling me the same thing, the Canes' margin is built on fast starts, and 562 in 14 rounds is roughly 40 a game, which is a pace nobody sustains deep into a season when legs go. I could be wrong, but historically the side topping the table at round 14 has regressed toward the mean in the last few rounds simply because everyone below them has more to play for. GloryDaysLoyal, your multi is safe for now, I'd just trim the number of legs on it. My run-home call: one more loss, maybe two, but they hold top spot. The drop-off crowd needs to remember that "worse than a steamroller" still usually means winning 📊Do the math before you argue.

Lol FixIsInPTSD writing essays over 2 losses, FrontRowFan too 😂 mate they've got the most points scored in the comp and you're both digging through the rubble of 3 defeats like there's a body in there somewhere 😆 I backed the Canes at the TAB before the season and I'm not flinching now, 11 from 14 and that attack just keeps rolling. Sure, finals footy is different, every punter knows that, but who's actually brave enough to name a side that stops them?? Nobody in this thread, that's who 🙄 my multi's staying on 🔥🇳🇿One love, one side ❤️

Funny how everyone's arguing about the 3 losses when the away-heavy run home is the actual variable here, and nobody's pricing it. I could be wrong, but my own table has the Canes' margin built on blowouts, 562-298 is elite, sure, yet finals footy compresses games and FrontRowFan's question is the right one. I'll keep them top but I'm not stacking multis on the line at short odds this late.Do the math before you argue.

Blowouts my backside, finals footy sorts the men 💪 Canes top by miles, my TAB multi's riding them home 🔥😱One love, one side ❤️

I got the Canes to win it all back in March and haven't topped up since, the TAB line's already doing my homework for me 😏 MillieFaithful sweating a multi is the best sign yet 🤡Here to argue, not to nod along.

Locked mine in last night: Canes head-to-head plus them covering the line away, $40 on the multi, even threw the odd try scorer in for a laugh. Only slipped once this season leaving a leg til Sunday and got burned, not doing that again 💸 WWWLW is fine by me, see you after the match 🔥The line moves — catch it.
