FINALLY lads π±π₯ top of the table after 14 rounds, 11 wins, and we're battering teams for fun, who else reckons this is our year?! Been waiting since day one for the title to come home to Wellington, and tbh I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it ππͺ

Had a NZ$20 multi going with them covering last round, didn't land, still won the try scorer leg π Now the line's moved, value's gone for mine, they're priced like champions already πΈBankroll discipline wins.

StatHead out here mourning NZ$20 while the rest of us are emotionally pacing the room like expectant fathers π I've started saying "when" instead of "if" around the house and my flatmate has threatened to move out. Coached the juniors through a few "our year" campaigns that fell over in the semis, so I get the nerves UltraUltra π but this mob's different, they've closed out tight games they'd have chucked away before. Don't laugh guys, but 562 points against 298 sounds more like stats padding against the weaker sides than a real title case? π€ Three losses is three losses, and semis are a whole different beast. That said I'd love to be proven wrong, so explain it to me like I'm five if I've got it all backwards π πLearning from the veterans, go easy π

I've watched enough table-topping sides in april come unstuck in june to know the ladder lies a bit, eh. i remember a few canes outfits that looked every inch champions right up till they weren't. this lot do look the real deal though, 55 points off 14 rounds is proper going, not smoke. seen worse sides than this win it, so who knows, maybe the rugby gods owe Wellington one πBeen here longer than some have followed.
