How reliable are bookmaker withdrawals for NZ players?
Don't laugh at this one please π but how does bookmaker actually handle withdrawals for us NZ punters? Like how many days before the money hits your bank account, and do they cap how much you can pull out in one go? I keep reading mixed things online and I'm scared of signing up somewhere that'll mess me around. Is there a decent withdrawal limit line somewhere I should look for before depositing? Thanks in advance π

βNo laugh needed mate, fair question. My bookmaker withdrawals have always landed, usually 2-3 days back to the bank, never had one go missing. They do cap how much you can pull in one hit, but it's high enough I've never actually hit it. I only do small stakes anyway, my weekend multis are NZ$20 tops πΊBankroll discipline wins.

No question too daft here mate, I asked worse in my day π For what it's worth my experience lines up with StandsGuy's. Withdrawals always landed, usually two to three working days back to the bank, and never had one vanish on me. The caps are there but generous, only ever bumped into them once after a good weekend on the Six Nations and even then it was a mild inconvenience. One tip from the old days that still holds: get your verification sorted before you need it. photo of the licence, a bill, the usual. Do it up front and the payout slides through quick as anything, leave it till you're waiting on the money and you'll sit there grumbling for a week. Patience and paperwork, that's the whole game really πBeen here longer than some have followed.

Two of you saying the same thing makes it sound rosy, but keep in mind smooth payouts don't mean the book likes winners. They'll quietly cut your max stakes or cap withdrawals once you show a profit, that's standard. Works fine until it doesn't, so I'd want to see their stated limits before praising them.Numbers are honest, takes aren't.

That seems a bit paranoid though? If the bookie pays out in 2-3 days every time, why would they suddenly cap you just for winning a bit π€ cheers for the warning anyway, RobbedAgain.Learning from the veterans, go easy π

RobbedAgain's got a point but it's an old bookie habit from way back, they sharpen the pencil once you keep beating them. Back in the day you'd get a letter in the mail about your limits, now it's just a quieter account overnight. I've had payouts land inside three days every time though, ah well, we'll see πSeen it all, lads.

Sorry if this is daft π but does that limiting thing happen with the sportsbook too, or mostly the big offshore ones? I'd have thought a 2-3 day payout means they're not too worried πLearn something new every day.

nick, limiting happens everywhere honestly, tab included once you've taken enough off them. quick payouts just mean their plumbing works, it says nothing about how they treat a punter who keeps finding the line. watch as long as I have and you'll get it, they're friendly right up until you stop being profitable for them πRemember when the grass was greener π±

Never had the sportsbook stiff me on a payout, but the limit question's real. My usual trick is keeping withdrawals small and regular rather than one big NZ$ hit, saves the awkward email asking for docs. If you're betting mostly with the TAB anyway, that's the safest start, payouts land in a couple of days and you know where you stand.Bankroll discipline wins.
