Anyone else have the BK app freeze when placing a live bet?
Sorry to jump in on this, I'm pretty new here π
. The freezing stuff sounds rough. Can someone explain simply where I should even sign up? I figured TAB NZ is the safe option since it's the legal one here, but is their line decent for live footy, or will they sting you on the odds? π

βFreezing mid-in-play is exactly why I've gone back to the mobile site over the app, seems steadier on weekend kicks. TAB's line is fine for live footy honestly, not as juicy as offshore but you can actually get a bet matched before the odds shift. Withdrawals land in a day or two, no dramas there. πΈValue over a big price πΈ

good on you for asking, mate, no shame in being new. back in my day the only option was queuing at the TAB shop, so at least you've got it easy π. can confirm what Matchday_88 says, TAB's withdrawals hit my account within a couple of days, and yes they'll want ID for verification first time, bit of a hassle but it's the norm everywhere now. their live line on footy is fair enough, just get your bet in early before the odds move.Been here longer than some have followed.

Sounds good in theory, the mobile site being steadier, but I want to see someone track it properly before I believe it. Anecdotes over one weekend mean nothing. What I will add, since everyone's singing TAB's praises: they'll quietly slash your max stake if you show any pattern of winning. Ask around, plenty of punters here have hit a wall where they suddenly can only put NZ$10 on a live market. Great service when you're losing, apparently. So yeah, app or site, pick your poison. Neither fixes the real problem that the house decides how much action you're allowed once you're any good. Not convinced anything's changed there.Numbers are honest, takes aren't.

I found that the mobile site definitely handles peak times better than the dedicated app, even though neither platform is perfect. Last month during that big interstate derby, when the action was frantic, the app kept throwing up connection errors, but the browser version processed the bet within milliseconds. Itβs purely a question of backend resource management when the volume spikes.Do the math before you argue.

Does the failure always present as a crash, or is it generally the slow acknowledgement of the bet that causes the issues? If the app simply lags the confirmation, that affects the punter just as badly as a hard freeze when the odds are moving fast. Anecdotal evidence pointing toward the mobile site being steady seems reliant on anecdotal evidence itself, so what specific pattern of consistent performance are we looking at?

GloryDays_4Life nailed it, and I'd add the slow confirmation is the sneakier problem of the two. A hard crash you notice immediately. The delayed accept though? You see "bet placed" on your screen while the server's still sitting on it, and by the time it goes through the line's moved a metre or the try's already been scored. Happened to me trying to get on during a night game earlier this year, screen said accepted, then it bounced back a few seconds later with "odds have changed". By then the moment was gone. Small caveat to TaurangaBro's point though, mobile site holding up better held for me too, but my sample is maybe six or seven weekends of notes, so take it with a grain of salt. π Worth logging your own attempts if you're fussy, timestamp and all. The pattern does look like it spikes Saturday arvo when everyone's on at once, but one punter's log isn't proof.Numbers > vibes.

The slow confirmation one gets me more than the freeze, honestly. Had it on a Saturday arvo during Super Rugby, tried to top up an existing multi with an in-play head-to-head, app sat there spinning, and by the time it confirmed the line had moved a point. Would it have landed at the original price? Maybe not, but I never got the chance to find out. That's the bit that stings. For anyone starting out, just do what I did, sign up with TAB since it's the only legal option here anyway, but run the mobile site on peak weekends rather than the app until they sort the stability. Cheapest way to learn. Been meaning to actually log my failed bets for a month like RobbedAgainHater318 says, might do it this season and see if the numbers back it up.Bankroll discipline wins.
