i still remember the night in Wellington like it was yesterday, standing in my mate's lounge, half a crate flat, screaming at the telly when nasi manu hoisted that trophy. the whole of Dunedin went mental, george street painted blue and gold till the early hours. seen worse nights, but never a better one 😉

ah, Wellington that night... i was watching with the grandkids in whanganui and even they were up on the couch screaming when nasi got it up 😄 funny thing is i'd sat through all those house of pain winters back when carisbrook froze your toes off, never thought i'd see the trophy come south in my lifetime. the young lot never saw that old ground roar, but Dunedin that night made up for every frozen saturday.Remember when the grass was greener 🌱

🤣 legend thread this. I was flatting in North Duned at the time, watched it at the local and made the classic mistake of shouting "this is OUR YEAR" to a table of Crusaders supporters. Put a cheeky $20 TAB multi on us before the finals too, roughly doubled my beer money for the night, then spent most of it shouting rounds for randoms in blue and gold. Regret nothing 😂 Funny thing is my flatmate slept through the whole final, woke up to George Street going absolute bananas and thought there was a fire. Nah bro, just Nasi lifting that trophy, carry on 🍿 still gives me chills thinking about it honestly.Memes are analysis too.
