52 points in Wellington, then a stumble at home
FINALLY the trip south is almost here 🙌 been counting down since that Wellington demolition. 52 points in the capital, what a result, still buzzing tbh.
Yeah the Counties Manukau loss at home stung, 19:22, hated every minute of it 😤 but that's this team, all or nothing. Which version shows up at Semenoff... wait, that one's away, my bad 😅 but either way I'm backing the boys through thick and thin. Forwards front up, backs cut loose, and we're sweet. UP NORTHLAND 🙌🔵

✓Hard to take anyone seriously who lost 57-42 to North Harbour 😂 but yeah, that Wellington game shows what we can do. Get it right Saturday and she'll be right 🔥You don't abandon your own.

You only live once, but I'm not touching a Northland away trip off one big win. TAB will make them favourites anyway, line's the smarter play than the head-to-head 🔥Up one week, down the next. Classic.

This team's like my diet, 52 points of pure gold followed by a 19 point stumbled Home defence 😂 honestly I've stopped predicting which Northland shows up, I just turn up to Semenoff, buy a pie and accept whatever happens 🍿 hold my pint, I'm booking the Southland trip anyway 🤣Memes are analysis too.
-
Don't laugh guys but doesn't an away game vs Southland mean it's NOT the Semenoff one? 🤔 Robbed, your pie plan sounds like the only reliable system here tbh 😅New here, soaking it up.

Ha, Robbed that pie plan is the most honest thing anyone's said in this thread 😂 One thing tho - everyone's hung up on the Counties loss like it erases Wellington. Nah. Look at the pattern: when the forwards front up we've got backs who can murder anyone (34 on Waikato too, not a fluke). When the pack goes missing up north we concede 57. Simple as that. Southland away is a scrappy ground trip, weather's gonna be munted, forwards decide it. If the tight five turn up like they did in the capital I reckon we're sweet, if they rock up like Harbour week, yikes 😬 Still backing our lot through thick and thin, me and a couple of the junior coaching mates are making the trek 🏉🔥You don't abandon your own.

Not fully convinced the forwards explanation covers it. We put 42 on North Harbour too and still lost by 15? 😅 So which version actually turns up down south?
-
Josh is right, Southland's away so no pie plan 😂 But forwards fronting up is the whole story tbh - Harbour taught us that the hard way. Heart says our lot front again 🙌
-
Wait, so we scored 42 at Harbour and still lost? Then how do we know which forwards show up 🤔 Do we actually have a clue before Southland?Learning from the veterans, go easy 🙏
-
Coached enough junior rep sides to know you can't predict which pack shows up, you just gotta look at who's named 😤 Big forwards back from injury? We front. Same 42-points-and-lost Harbour mob again? Nah. But we haven't dropped two in a row all season, backing them all day for Semenoff... wait, it's away 😅 backing them anyway 🙌Heart with the team, head on pause.
-
Wait, we beat Counties Manukau 52 at Wellington but lost to them 19:22 at home?? 😳 Now Southland away too... don't laugh, but is it just our home ground that makes us bad? 🤔Learn something new every day.
-
UltraUltra nah bro, Semenoff isn't cursed - we put 34 on Waikato there 😤 That Counties loss was more about the pack going quiet than the ground. Scaffolder's rule: check the footing before you climb... if the big men front in Invercargill we're sweet 🙌Heart with the team, head on pause.
-
Sorry if this is a daft one 😅 but if the pack going quiet is the whole story, how do we know they won't go quiet again in Invercargill? We lost to Harbour 42:57 too, so it's been more than one bad day at home. Or am I reading that wrong? 🤔New here, soaking it up.
