Can the Highlanders turn one win into a late-season surge in Dunedin?
FINALLY π₯ That last win felt like the boys finally remembered they're allowed to play footy! 5 and 9 with that LLWLW run... one win means nothing on paper but boy did it feel good πͺ
Dunedin on a cold night, crowd roaring, anything can happen down there yeah nah?? We're 9th on 24 points, four teams within reach if the momentum holds. Through thick and thin with this mob, but I reckon the fight back starts NOW ππ Who's coming to the game??

βCold night in Dunedin and suddenly everyone's a believer again π hard out though, that last one felt different. 9 wins from 14 doesn't lie, we've been shocking for long stretches, but one win and suddenly the boys remember how to defend their line. I remember being at a game down there years back when the crowd basically dragged them over the line in the last ten, kicked 40 into the wind and the place exploded. That's what Forsyth Barr can do to visiting sides who think it's a easy night. Anyone backing against them at home this late in the season is brave punter, put it that way π₯π₯ tbh the scrum's gotta front, that's been the whole season in a nutshell. Ah well, nowt to do but strap in πͺYou don't abandon your own.

The current line looks loaded on the higher side. Punter value is in the odds on the margin bands. πΈBankroll discipline wins.

I reckon me hoping for a surge is like me trusting my own graphic design client to pay on time, technically possible, historically rare π Still gonna rock up to the cold in Dunedin and believe anyway, that's the fan tax. Tom I'd put my last NZ$20 on us finding a new way to lose, hold my pint π»Memes are analysis too.

That last win was the first time all season I've watched them finish a game instead of gifting it away π 424 points against tells you everything, our defence has been leaking all year and one clean night doesn't fix that. But here's me thinking, the young fellas looked like they actually wanted the ball in the last twenty. If they back that up at home, Dunedin crowd will drag them over the line, we've seen it before. RobbedAgain I feel you on the fan tax π I'll be there freezing in the terraces regardless, backing them all day through thick and thin. Our lot never make it easy but nah, I'm not writing off a surge yet. Ah well, nowt to do but turn up and roar πͺπ₯You don't abandon your own.

Sorry to be the downer but one good night doesn't erase nine losses π I'll believe the surge when they do it twice in a row. Go easy on me, new here π

Nah RideOrDieLegend, you're not wrong but I've seen this before π Remember back when our lot never make it easy and we still snuck into the top eight off the back of two home games everyone wrote off? Forwards fronted, defence held, crowd got loud. If that win means the boys stop gifting soft tries, 24 points can climb quick. Backing them all day π₯Heart with the team, head on pause.

Don't laugh guys, but wasn't the defence supposed to hold in those home games Sam mentioned too? π 424 points against says otherwise, prove me wrong πLearning from the veterans, go easy π

Seen worse, and seen better sides than this lot lie down completely, so a bit of hope is allowed π defence wasn't much of a feature back in my day either some seasons, yet the good nights came out of nowhere. Matchday_Legend, your 424 doesn't lie, but expectations have a way of fooling everyone, in both directions. I'll just enjoy watching whether the young fellas front up at home again πSeen it all, lads.
