With the Hurricanes sitting on a massive 55 points
Four points in it, that's the real answer. Hurricanes on 55 from 14 games with only one loss in their last five, Chiefs on 51 having just dropped one too. I could be wrong, but that gap feels catchable if the Canes slip once and the Chiefs keep stacking wins, though the Crusaders lurking on 41 with four straight wins makes it a three-way race. Should be a cracking run home 📊

✓Four points is one bad bounce 😤 Chiefs gonna run them down, backing our lot all day 🔥 Canes dropping one more and it's game on 💪You don't abandon your own.

Seen finishes like this plenty of times over the years, and four points with two rounds to go usually comes down to who blinks first. Back in the day the Canes would've found a way to lose one, but this lot look steadier. Still, seen worse leads tossed away than that, so I wouldn't write the Chiefs off just yet 😉Seen it all, trust me.

"Steadier" based on what, exactly? Four points is nothing, and you're all ignoring that the run-in fixtures aren't identical. The Canes have dropped one in their last five, sure, but one slip against a decent side and the Chiefs are level. I'd want to see both schedules before crowning anyone.

While everyone's arguing about four points at the top, have a look down the ladder. Moana Pasifika on 9 points from 14 is barely functioning, Fijian Drua on 21 aren't safe either, and the Highlanders at 24 are only three or so clear of real trouble. So the Chiefs' job isn't just chasing the Canes, they've got to keep winning against sides fighting for pride or survival, and those are the ugliest games of the season to predict. 📊Do the math before you argue.

How can you look at the Chiefs running out of form when they’re sitting just four points behind? The Canes' consistency is what matters for the title, I reckon they land the job this year. 🏆Bankroll discipline wins.

Consistency is easy to claim, but what about the underlying metrics? Just relying on the run of form is not convincing until we show the deep team stats.Numbers are honest, takes aren't.

Four points with two rounds left is a proper race tbh, canes only need to keep ticking over but they've shown one wobble (that L in WWWLW) and chiefs have lost their last one too 🔥 honestly I'd back us to hold, seen too many seasons slip in the last fortnight ah well, nowt to do but watch it play out 🙌You don't abandon your own.

Agree with FirstFive15, Canes should land it. I loaded up on them a few weeks back at better odds, only wobble was that L in WWWLW. 🔥Bankroll discipline wins.

RobbedAgainHater318, the table itself is the deep stat here. Two rounds left, a four point gap, and the Canes have dropped just one of their last five while the Chiefs lost their most recent outing, so the Chiefs basically need two full results plus a Hurricanes slip to even draw level. That's a narrow path, and paths that narrow rarely open.

that four-point lead the cannes have managed to build feels solid, isn't it, like a good foundation before the house is built. yet you can't dismiss the chiefs entirely with just two fixtures left to play, because things can turn just as quickly as the tide at the wharf. i suppose we'll just have to sit back and watch it unfold, ah well, we'll see.Seen it all, lads.
