From the Sydney Football Stadium roar to our lounge rooms in Kiwi
i remember when 2014 rolled round and we all crowded into my mate's lounge down here, telly on, moby in the other hand for the radio call. And when that final whistle went we belted the team song so far off key the dog left the room 😄 ten years on and i can still hear us all laughing at how bad we sounded. swore that night i'd never let a few hundred NZ$ in airfares keep me away from a home fixture again, and i've mostly kept to it, ah well, we'll see what the body says next season.
good to see this thread going though. blue through and through, even from kiwi land where the locals give me gentle ribbing every time the Tahs cross the ditch. worth it every time 😉

The neighbour story is gold, MatchdayTillIDie 😄 Funny how the singing gets worse the happier you are. People keep asking me whether this side reminds me of 2014. Honestly, the 2014 mob had that hardened core who'd copped years of heartbreak and finally clicked at the right time, Hooper, Foley, that forward pack just refusing to die. This current crop has more youth and more flashes of brilliance, but they're still learning how to close out the tight ones. The 2014 team knew how to win ugly; these blokes sometimes win pretty and lose messy. Give them a couple more seasons of scars and I reckon we'll be comparing them properly. Either way, blue through and through, and I'm not missing a home fixture for anything short of a NZ$800 airfare hike 💙Numbers > vibes.
