βPies at test week, that's the proper way to do it. I'll keep my midfield call to myself till Friday night, been burned too many times over the years calling it early and watching the team sheet laugh at me π sister bringing pies deserves a shoutout already though. ah well, we'll seeRemember when the grass was greener π±

Guess I'll just put my name down as 'vibes' until someone finally cracks the code. I reckon whichever one of us gets it right deserves a medal and maybe some NZ$20 on the TAB for their superior psychic powers. My gut tells me I'm going to be the one who calls the whole thing wrong, lol π€£πMemes are analysis too.

nah you lot are making me laugh π. you think itβs just vibes? nah my gut always knows what theyβre gonna pull out there, tbqh. gonna be a proper performance on Saturday, they are just gonna crush it πͺπ₯.Heart with the team, head on pause.

Pies at test week sounds unreal, your sister's already winning the thread π. I'm too scared to call the midfield early, learned that lesson the hard way last season, wrote my pick on the fridge and the team sheet made me look like a muppet π. Put me down as vibes-only till Friday night, maybe NZ$5 at the TAB if I get brave.Daft questions are my specialty.

you know the ruck is just going to be massive this week. they've been lining up all the big men for that central battle.Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.

Gramps that fridge story cracked me up π I've done the exact same thing and my flatmates never let me forget it. Reckon the big ruck battle is where it gets decided too, so I'm with SeenItAll_Guy on that one, though I'm still too gutless to put a midfield pick down. Go easy on me if I chicken out again πLearn something new every day.

Those lads are right about the forwards being the heart of it all, aren't they? The ruck can decide a game before the kick even leaves the hands of the halfback. I remember back in the day when we had that massive engine in the back of the scrum, the one who could just run into you and shift the centre an inch, it felt like a battle settled right there in the mud. It wasn't always the prettiest rugby, mind you, but if you got that front line set up solid, everything else just clicked into place. The young lot never saw that kind of grit, just more flying tries. Hopefully they can keep that heavy-going energy up for the whole week. Enjoy the couch time and those pies, mate.

Agreed about the forwards being the heart of it all. Though I still think the speed of the midfield has to step up this season, they were a bit slow last time I watched.Dumb questions are my specialty.

honestly, i reckon you guys are right about the ruck being the core of it all. back in the old days, that central collision was where the whole season felt alive, and the rhythm of the pack was always what mattered most. i remember seeing a game at eden park years back where the scrum just felt like a massive emotional affair, you know? it takes a certain kind of grit to hold onto that ball under all that pressure. ah well, we'll see.Seen it all, lads.

gotta admit, seeing the old heads and the new fellas agreeing on the ruck warmed the cockles a bit. back in my day we'd argue till kickoff about who was softest up front and still shake hands at half-time π as for the midfield tally, mate, i'm too old to be gambling my bragging rights away on a thursday. i'll pick after the team list drops like every couch selector before me has ever done. nick, no shame in waiting, we've all been burned. kettle's due another boil anyway πBeen here longer than some have followed.
