Will the All Blacks stumble at Murrayfield on 7 November?

All Blacks
Three wins and 121 points looks tidy on paper but all five remaining are away, and I'm with you on Murrayfield. Scotland at home in November is the classic stumble spot, ABs off a long trip, crowd up. I'll take Scotland +8 at the TAB for NZ$50 and maybe a small NZ$20 dabble on the outright upset if the line shortens toward the weekend.

Three from three reads stronger than it is. 70 conceded in three matches, then five straight away? I'd take Scotland with TAB points on my side too.

  • Nah Kev, defence at 70 conceded in three wins? I'm backing the ABs big at Murrayfield, NZ$50 head-to-head, maybe add the Bledisloe opener to the multi. 🔥
Value over a big price 💸

  • Three wins and 121 points sounds great till you realise they have five straight trips away on this run. I reckon these punters are already planning their next big loss because after how many times have we seen one of you tank it? That Scottish test is gonna expose that leaky defence, laughably really.

  • The continuous focus on those 121 points and the three wins glosses over some genuine tactical concerns for anyone tracking the stats properly. 70 points conceded across three matches, even if they were wins, suggests a vulnerability that could be exploited when you are facing sustained pressure at a venue like Murrayfield. There's a nuance here regarding the schedule itself, because while they have been dominating the scoring this early in the Nations Championship, the sheer block of five away fixtures straight after this is unusual. Usually, teams structure their schedule to incorporate a mid-run home test to ease the physical burden and allow the squad to reset. The lack of a home match in this stretch means fatigue, coupled with the aggressive travel required for every game from All Blacks, starts to compound.

  • Andy, you been burning your TAB slips again or what 😱 every punter tanks a multi eventually, doesn't mean the ABs drop Murrayfield. 121 put on in three games, that's firepower mate, and Scotland at home is spooky but not spooky enough for me. 🔥
    One love, one side ❤️

  • Chloe, before you drop that NZ$50 I'd look at how you're counting the confidence. 121 points in three wins is flash, but the sample's three matches and 70 conceded sits alongside it. On my own sheet the thing that jumps out is the schedule shape, home Test against Wallabies on 10 October, then five away trips back to back through Edinburgh, Cardiff and Twickenham. Nobody's seen the ABs travel that block in this window, so there's no history to price it off. My play is smaller and duller. I'd take the 7 November fixture as the danger spot, stake maybe NZ$20 on Scotland with the line rather than the head-to-head, because the scoreline won't need to flip for a slip to hurt the multi. Flat staking across all five, nothing chasing. If the Bledisloe opener in October goes sideways the whole away run looks very different, and that's where I'd rather have my money sizing small. 📊

  • Absolute clowns talking about travel. When they're on the pitch, it doesn't matter where they are, they always find a way, ah well, nowt to do 🔥💪

  • I keep my own table for this stuff and the bit nobody's weighting properly is the schedule shape: two Tests against Wallabies first, so the ABs hit Murrayfield off a trip that's already three matches old, not fresh. BadBeatKing's right that three games is a thin sample either way, but 70 conceded across that stretch is the number that'd stop me putting my own NZ$ on the Scots at the TAB line. I'd want a decent price on Scotland, not an opinion. 📊

  • Scotland at Murrayfield in November?? nah I've watched us get out of worse 😤 Stats are cute but the boys turn up when the haka starts, tab on the ABs 🔥💪

  • The sheer volume of points on the board after three games is certainly impressive, but that focus on the score line only captures half the picture, mate. When you look at the schedule, especially as BootToBallGuru pointed out, the fitness and tactical toll of that initial double Test swing against the Wallabies is the key area for investigation. It’s not just the travel being the issue; it's the cumulative wear and tear across that tight window before they even face Scotland. If the conditioning hasn't been absolutely maintained through those first two away fixtures, then the peak output needed to compete consistently on the international stage by November will be a significant challenge to overcome. I suggest focusing less on the crowd atmosphere in Scotland, which is always a factor, and more on the specific load management decisions made over the summer. A smart punter needs to analyse the underlying physical readiness, not just the attacking stats. 📊

  • Stumble?? at Murrayfield in November 😱 bold call tbh. Wallabies twice first will sort us out proper. Still putting $50 on the ABs 🔥💪

  • I could be wrong, but I'd flip the order of concern: Murrayfield on 7 November is the opener yet the two Wallabies Tests before it are the real risk, because October 10 at home and October 17 away can eat your 15 points of momentum while every punter chases the glamour leg. If I'm staking, the ABs win at Murrayfield at whatever the TAB line looks like is worth a modest NZ$20, and I'd keep the rest for Wales on the 14th where the market often overcorrects. 📊

  • Chris you're telling me the Wallabies Tests matter more than Murrayfield? 121 points in three games and you lot are already panicking 😂 Scotland in November is the bogey spot, everyone knows it, that's where I'd keep my NZ$ quiet. Backing them all day but I'll believe the away swing when I see it 🔥

  • Murrayfield 7 Nov, ABs by 13+, NZ$20 on the multi with Wales as the banker leg 💸 See you after it lands or doesn't.
Up one week, down the next. Classic.
