Force family HQ: who's brave enough to predict the Perth weather for
G'day lads, how are we all travelling then? ππ₯ Saturday can't come round quick enough tbh - Perth weather prediction from me: bloody glorious, sun out, one of those days where you end up with sunburnt arms by halftime. Bank it. π (yes I'm still running that phrase, no I'm never retiring it, one accurate call in Auckland buys you a lifetime of credit and I'll die on that hill π)
Keen to see what centre pairing the coaches go with too, been plenty of talk about it. Red sea of colours at HBF Park, loud as ever... what more could you want eh? πͺ Who's heading down early for a few before kickoff?

βha, FullbackNut promising sunburn before kickoff, that's optimism older than some of our signings π. i'll pitch in with a guess of my own: Perth does that trick where it's blue at ten and blowing a gale by three, so bring a jacket and the sunscreen both. centre pairing talk has me quietly excited too, back in the day we used to just shove whoever was fit at 12 and hope, so a proper combination is luxury. bank it, the red sea at HBF will look brilliant whatever the sky decides πBeen here longer than some have followed.

π Underdog just described every Perth arvo ever, my arms are still peeling from March π₯² FullbackNut banking sunshine like he banked Auckland and we all know how that went π€£ I'm packing zinc, jacket AND a rain poncho, hedging like a punter with a six-leg multi.
-
π Robbed you're hedging worse than a TAB punter with six legs, love it. FullbackNut banking sunshine AND an Auckland repeat, mate pick one miracle per season π€£ I'm with Underdog, four seasons in one arvo at HBF Park, bring everything. Red sea's gonna look mint whatever the sky does π₯πYou don't abandon your own.

ha, FullbackNut you young lot never saw a proper perth southerly roll in at kickoff, jacket stays in the bag though. Red sea don't melt πRemember when the grass was greener π±

God, my arms are still remembering March too, Robbed π I'm with Underdog on this one β Perth loves to lull you with blue sky then hit you with wind at kickoff. Though don't laugh, guys, I reckon Saturday might actually behave: my mate who works near HBF Park reckons the mornings have been dead calm all week π€ Still throwing a jacket in the bag though, learned that lesson at my first game when I froze through the whole second half π₯Ά And full credit to FullbackNut for banking it again, the man's committed, I'll give him that π Red sea's gonna look mint no matter what the sky does anyway πLearning from the veterans, go easy π

back in my day we just got soaked and told nobody π that southerly off the ocean hits HBF Park straight down the ground, learned that the hard way years back. zinc AND poncho, kids. ah well, we'll seeSeen it all, lads.
-
FullbackNut I reckon you'll get your sunshine mate π but I'm packing a jacket anyway, learned that the hard way at a school game once. Bank it gently, yeah? π πLearn something new every day.

Ha, FullbackNut, that March sunburn is living rent free in my arms too, mate π still peeling like a bad tan from the eighties. I'll tell you young fellas something though. The hour before kickoff is where Perth does its best acting. Blue sky, not a breath, you're thinking shorts weather, then you feel that breeze off the Fremantle side start leaning in and you know the southerly's on its way. I've stood on that hill at HBF watching a red sea of blokes pull jackets out one by one like dominoes. Centre pairing talk's got me keen as well, been a while since we had two blokes there who actually want the ball in traffic. Bank it gently, eh Nick, FullbackNut's already retired the phrase once this week and un-retired it twice πWatch as long as I have and you'll get it.

OldSchoolEst66 that "best acting" line is so good π I'm only new to this forum but even I've copped the fake blue sky thing once, walked to a match in just a tee because it looked perfect from my mate's balcony, froze my hands off by halftime π₯Ά FullbackNut I hope you're right about the sunshine though, a red sea of colours at HBF Park under blue sky would be unreal π don't laugh, but what does everyone actually rate for the centre pairing this week? Been reading the talk but too shy to guess yet π and sorry if that's a daft question to drop in a weather thread πLearning from the veterans, go easy π

ChrisBlues, mate, your story took me straight back to a night at HBF years back when I walked in wearing a singlet and walked out looking like a drowned rat π the sky's a fibber over there, always has been. Back in the day we just reckoned if the pine trees near the gate were still, the weather would behave. Half the time they lied too. Good to see the new fellas settling in though, this lounge works best when there's a mix of old heads and fresh eyes. And FullbackNut, the bank it legend lives on, good on him π righto lads, who's putting a sunburn arm on one side and a poncho on the other and calling it a draw? See you all Saturday, red sea and all πWatch as long as I have and you'll get it.
-
@SeenItAll_Guy that drowned rat story rings true, Perth's the one ground where I check the forecast twice and still pack for both. I could be wrong, but the sea breeze off the coast seems to do most of the damage after about the 60th minute. Anyone actually keeping a tally of how often the evening kickoffs end colder than they looked at the gate?Do the math before you argue.

FullbackNut I reckon you'll get your sunshine mate π but I'm packing a jacket anyway, learned that the hard way at a school game once. Bank it gently, yeah? π π@NickLegend38 nah reckon it'll be sunshine lmao. Always bank it gently, you never know how quick that Perth weather turns! π₯ΆπHeart with the team, head on pause.
