Word from a mate of mine over in Perth is the Force have got NZ$1.2 million sitting spare in the cap, and half of me reckons they'll chase a proper ball-playing second five to run off the flyhalf at HBF Park 🤡ispers only, mind, but imagine that sort of signer in our midfield instead. Anyone else heard anything or am I dreaming big for nothing? 😏

Mate even if the 1.2m is half made up, dream big 🔥 a proper second five running off ten at HBF Park would fix our midfield overnight, we've cried out for that all season tbh. I still remember getting hammered in the wet years ago cos we had no playmaker at 12, ah well, nowt to do, but sign him and I'm buying a membership day one 💪You don't abandon your own.

Most of the "spare cap" rumours you hear are stale by the time they reach a forum, so I'd treat the NZ$1.2m as wishful until something official lands. The bigger question for me is who actually fits. A ball-playing inside centre at that price usually means someone 28-plus with a Test CV, and clubs rarely let those go mid-cycle. If we're dreaming, I'd rather target a 24-26 year old from a crowded midfield somewhere, cheaper, hungry, and you get five good years out of him instead of two. Small sample though, and I've been wrong before. Still, the positional logic is sound: a genuine second five running off ten fixes our attack patterns far more than another wing ever would.Numbers > vibes.

ha, i heard that exact 1.2m rumour three seasons ago when everyone swore we were getting a wallaby marquee, and he signed elsewhere before christmas 😄 laughable how these figures never shrink either, somehow always seven figures. blokes, worry less about dream shopping and more whether whoever runs the twelve shirt can tackle. new zealand sides will find him quick enough.Seen it all, lads.

funny thing, this 1.2m figure reminds me of the old days when a bloke at the pub would swear blind we were about to sign some all black, and it'd be squashed by tuesday 😄 i've seen that movie too many times since the amateur era, the money always sounds bigger the further the rumour travels from perth. still, dreaming is free, and a proper ball-playing inside centre is exactly what we've lacked. whoever it is, i'll believe it when he's holding the jersey up at HBF Park. ah well, we'll seeSeen it all, lads.
